Overall Experience: Professional Instructors, great communication, easy registration, and great community! The only thing bad is the cost of the school...if you're serious in placing yourself in the art community then it's the school for you.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Even though I haven't started yet I love this school. It is unique because unlike other art schools you don't need a portfolio as part of the application process. And that the school is an art school created by artists. Plus every single professor is a professional in their field.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: The teachers actually work in the field they teach so as it evolves they adjust quicker. They are the only school to work directly with the new York fashion show. Their acceptance is almost guaranteed but the process is really efficient so you feel like you are at the right place and you know that this school is for you or not.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: There have been much confusion regarding classes due to advisor faults.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: It is a great school for anything related to art and design. It has professionals as instructors with the newest technology so you can work with what you will once you find a job. You start learning the principals since day one, you do not have to know anything about your major, they will teach you step by step so you can be better. I would never change my experience of being in this art school, plus its location is awesome. Classroom numbers are small, so you have a great chance to interact with instructors and get a 1 on 1 critique at any point.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The professors know their fields.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: I honestly love the academy of art university, thats why I have been waiting till I could afford the classes to get back to school

Overall Experience: Academy of Art University is highly recommended. Top notch education with quality instructors. Sure, you may get one here and there that are not great but that is in every school you go to.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The education is really top notch and you never just sit around in a class. Each class will throw you straight into projects, and will throw you into a lot of them. They really do teach you what to expect and how to be prepared for the workforce in your field of study. The main drawback is the amount of money it costs which means I wish I would have applied for more scholarships.

Overall Experience: I am enrolled but my classes haven't started yet. i had to push back school to take care of other expenses. Everything is good so far. I'm excited to start school, because I can do what I need to at home online again and go to work full-time.

Overall Experience: You really need to be passionate and sure on what you want to be and major in, if you do know what you want to do then this school is great for you. It is a rigorous art school, with teachers that know and have front hand experience in the industry. The only down side, is the cost of this school. They're don't offer scholarships for there students or much financial help.

Overall Experience: Its a pretty good school and everything in it is pretty brand new and fresh, the only downside is some instructors provide repetitive or too easy of the course material. the online programs are good and very student friendly and online education system in AAU is very well organized and works pretty well

Overall Experience: Overall its a good school. I wish more grants and scholarships would be off to cover more cost, that financial aid will not cover. Glad I am able to do online work too. The other art school I applied to said they offered it, but in reality they did not for the courses I needed.

Overall Experience: Having an experienced teacher means you'll have a great experience for sure. It's the new teachers that really wreck you. The school setup is built to keep you working but successful. It's ridiculously expensive and that's a downer, and for some people, art school isn't a necessity when you can learn the same skills online now, but hey, they people giving you those skills online went to these schools and learned them here.

Being able to take courses at home helps because commute sucks if you live over an hour away. It's not something you can do every day. so online classes are a plus. WOULD NOT TAKE ONSITE AND ONLINE AT THE SAME TIME.

The school works you hard, but you enjoy it when you're going at a pace that's good for you. And most teachers know what that pace is.

Overall Experience: I would have chosen this school from the beginning. Being a transfer student is hard and theres so much more work and stress of credits not transferring.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Its a great school with high standards for the artists they train.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The overall experience is great because the process of learning new things about your major has become a bit more simple thanks to the help of the instructors. They have helped me as much as possible and are there when needed for help in the classroom, or online

Overall Experience: It can be real hard at times, and if your a working adult the education is not built around your daily life. Some professors are hard and really great hard. It can be challenge, but will be worth it at the end. It is real expensive, you need a lot of assistance to pay for your education or you will not complete your degree.

Career Services: Because the teacher at the university have great connections with professionals out in the industry, if they see one work really hard to make a career out of what one pursues they will help out to find a job.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Classes are very flexible and I can choose different times during the day to be able to attend classes just in case I have work.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I have really enjoyed my time at this school. I have learned a lot about my major and that is very important to me because I know I can go off this summer and continue using the things I learned and create more films. I met great people this semester including teachers and students that will definitely help me along the way and I will help them as well.

Overall Experience: the class size is quite small therefore instructors can pay more attention to students individually. Classes in general are quite challenging in nature but only those willing to work hard will find themselves in a better position and most likely to learn the most in class.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: This university is well known in San Francisco therefore a lot of the teachers know people in the industry that we can get in touch with after I graduate and I can also get internships since professionals contact school clubs to get students to apply for an internships opening the door to other opportunities.
