3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: ACU talks a lot about how to prevent sexual assault and what to do if it happens to you or someone you know.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The dorms at ACU are not the worst, but they are not the best either. The rooms are fairly decent and the community bathrooms are cleaned once a day. The RA's try to create a community aspect in each hall by creating activities to do and events to go to. Since ACU has a small campus, each dorm is in great proximity to the academic buildings and the Bean.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: At ACU we have "local fraternities and sororities" instead of the normal ones one would find at larger universities. Many students do pledge a social club, but the majority of the student body does not.

2 College Freshman

Athletics: No one seems to care about the athletics at ACU. The school spirit is subpar and the university as a whole does not do a good job of encouraging the student body to attend games.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Abilene Christian is a great institution for learning. The professors do really seem to care about their students.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: There's not much news on crimes at ACU. Huge news like that is generally kept quiet and only few people are aware of it. Well populated parts of campus are lit, however there are many parts of campus that have very little light, which does make it scary. There's also not any officers ON campus during the evening.slight. They're AROUND campus but not physically on campus observing the area. Around the trail there are emergency phones, but they're only available around there. There's a police station near the school so if you have their number, you can quickly get help.

Overall Experience: Classes on campus are moderate in intensity. A lot of them require hard work and focus. A majority of the professors care about the topics and will explain them very well. The professors are also super caring, helpful, open, and supportive. Almost all of them will be very open with office hours and talking to you about more than academics. They are very inviting and will try to help you with whatever you need. The class sizes are great! They're smaller so you get to know more people closely and also get a greater chance of knowing the professors and having them know you.

3 College Junior

Athletics: Not many people participate in Athletics on campus. Generally the crowd are friends and family of the athletes. At least twice a semester the school has to give incentives to attract a bigger crowd at games. The athletic teams are all pretty good from what is reported about them. The gym is okay. There's basic equipment and an indoor trac.

Overall Experience: ACU is a great school if you take advantage of all the opportunities available for you. Classes based on your major and generally smaller and 95% of the time the professors do actually care for you. They are very welcoming and are open to any assistance you need, whether it's academic or personal. Also because the classes are smaller than most universities, you have a greater chance of getting to know the professor. However, that is up to you and how much of the opportunities in your major you take advantage of. As for students, most of them are nice and helpful. However, just like any other place there are people who are not so nice. The campus is okay. Pretty small, but that makes it easier to get to class on time. Chapel is not so fun anymore. It feels forced at times, but it's up to you how you experience it. Lastly, the food choices on campus are not so great, and if you have any special diet concern you most likely won't find that at the cafeteria.

Health & Safety: My friends used to take late night walks around campus on the Lunsford trail, but we stopped after a particular encounter with some cat callers. However it should be noted that we were facing a busy street and we're not even sure if the were ACU students.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: All the professors are fairly knowledgeable and passionate about what they're talking about. I've taken both Honors and regular classes my first year. Ironically some of my Honors classes required less work than their counterparts, but others require a bit more effort. Like always, it depends on the professor and the course.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Considering I've never worked before, it was pretty easy to get my part-time job on campus.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The housing system has apparently changed almost every year. Applying for housing my first year was a breeze. But getting ready for my sophomore year has been a pain in the butt. With a lottery system, my roommate and I got stuck with a hall that was even one of our two alternates to our top choice. However we've been placed on the wait list for a different residence hall.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: ACU doesn't have Greek life, we call it Social Clubs. Each club has its stereotypes, some people fit that mold, others don't.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: I don't pay much attention to my school's sports or athletics.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The cost to attend ACU is crazy expensive. So depending if I find more fund, I may not return for my second year. If I do, who knows if I'll be there for the whole academic year or leave after fall semester.

4 College Freshman

Academics: I love the academics offered. I have learned so much due to the academics given.

5 College Freshman

Diversity: There is a lot of diversity at ACU. One can walk on to the campus and simply see how diverse it is.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: I know students who do drink, but they have never pressured me into doing so.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: At Abilene Christian University they care for the students health and safety very much. They are constantly sending out emails and making sure all the students feel safe and well.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I love the courses I take and the professors that teach them. They make sure that everything that is taught is well understood and because of that I have not had problems with learning. Although the material can be a by difficult just a bit of studying can help you make a great grade.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Depending on your major many opportunities are offered and given to students. So when graduating leaving school a job is more than likely ensured.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Although I'm not a huge fan with living in the dormitories, they are really nice. I am a bit a clean freak so if it was not clean I do not think I could live in them.

5 College Freshman

Greek Life: The social clubs we have contain friendly people. You can join whenever your a sophomore and I am considering joing this year. They always host events and they are always fun events to attend.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: I am not an athlete, but from my point of view the athletes are treated very well and have some of the best equipment to practice with.
