3 College Junior

Academic Experience: For the size of the campus it is ok. Limited

2 College Junior

Academic Experience: Just certain classes are being offered, limited

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: For the size of the campus we just have what's there. Library, Learning center

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: We have computer labs, but the doors are mostly closed

3 College Junior

Career Services: It's Ok not much to choose from

2 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I came here because I couldn't afford a university and am afraid of student loans. But I would prefer the loans to going here. I missed out on the college experience and if you value a college experience then Yuba College is the wrong place. I'm just glad I was able to get all my requirements and transfer.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The BOG waiver at my school is great. I come from a middle class family but my parents are not paying for my education. So this waiver really helped with my tuition payments. I just wish there were more requirements for the students who get it. It is frustrating when I don't get financial aid over something and my grades are very good, just because my parents make a certain amount even though they aren't contributing to my education. While there are students who get financial that can barely keep a 2.0 gpa.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I didn't really learn anything from my online classes. They were mainly just busy work. I wouldn't recommend them for classes specific to a major. Only for general ed requirements.

College Sophomore

Student Body: I've never heard or seen anything about a student body at my school.

College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I applied to chico state and got it but they haven't told me yet about my transfer classes and what they transferred as, so I'm not sure.

2 College Sophomore

Facilities: It's set right in the middle of the ghetto in marysville. That makes it pretty unique.

College Sophomore

Academic Experience: There aren't really opportunities with any majors because this is a just a JC. They mainly offer general ed courses and courses for specific majors are very limited. The classes are easy though. Way easier than high school but that may be because I mainly took honors courses in high school.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: A very small number of professors at Yuba college are great and inspiring. But everything else about it really sucks. It's an unfriendly environment.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: A new library just got finished a few months ago, January 2014. It had been under construction for about 3 years and while it was everyone had to be crammed in the cafeteria, which isn't huge if they needed somewhere to study. It was loud and there wasn't enough space. People at Yuba College are unfriendly. It's in one of the worst poverty areas in Yuba College and most of the people that attend are just there because they get financial aid and are just drifters. I regret not going straight to a four year from high school. I was afraid to take out student loans but I think I would have preferred that and gone to an actual nice college.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The wifi usually sucks, but the computers in the library work well.

College Sophomore

Career Services: This is a junior college. They don't have post grad services.

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I haven't taken online courses, but I know people who have and they all say that it is worth it and very helpful.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The athletic center is great. The library is very resourceful and the librarians are very friendly.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The computer labs are reliable and speedy. There is always a working printer too.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: The teachers tend to understand and be reasonably flexible.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: The student body at my school is very friendly and welcoming.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The facility is very welcoming and so is the staff. The teachers enjoy what they do and they have a lot to teach students.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I haven't met a professor that wasn't willing to help students, even out of class. Call registration is straightforward and easy.

4 College Sophomore

Career Services: The career center is really helpful. The counselors have helped me a lot.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: One thing about my school is that the teachers are very helpful and they want to help the students.
