3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Some teachers were more helpful with online classes than others.

3 College Junior

Online Courses: Although online courses are convenient, they lack the personal and one-on-one experience with the instructor and other students. One advantage to online courses is not having to get dresssed for class. Another advantage is no gas used to get to class. A disadvantage is making sure you have logged in a specified number of times per week to get credit for the course. I would rather put a face with a name with my courses. I have taken several online courses and have done very well. However, there were some courses I had to drop.

College Senior

Online Courses: Although I have not had any online classes because i chose not to, because I need a teacher in front of me so I can ask questions and get the answers I need. I would never take an online course if I didn't have to.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: I have only taken two courses but the process and class content was very easy to follow and keep up with.

1 College Junior

Online Courses: My experience with online course with maybe one exception is extremely bad. The purpose of an online course is so that students can take the classes online and NOT be required to go to the campus and take the tests. Some online classes even require students to go to campus to complete weekly assignments! This defeats the purpose of taking an online class. Most of the professors that run the online classes are extremely lazy and most have no clue how to even use D2L. Their communication is severely lacking as well. Taking online classes at York Tech is a waste of time and money.
