3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Great for a college. Could be less.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Good amount of classes that I have interests in. Same classes needed at other colleges in Maine for transfer purposes.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Learned more in one semester in college then four years in high school.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: No athletics. Very nice library and good amount of computers in lab.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Always enough available. Assistance to guide you in the lab is available also.

4 College Junior

Student Body: Very nice students mainly there to focus on education.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Very well informative classes that are flexible and affordable.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Very lenient with classes fitting into my schedule.

2 College Senior

Campus Resources: The school is generally no-frills but there is a student lounge as well as a basketball hoop outside. Otherwise, the facilities aren't anything special.

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I feel that the financial aid process was exceptionally easy at YCCC. I feel that the value I am receiving thus far is slightly below average but I may have too high of expectations for a Community College where ages in my classes range from 18-65 years old.

2 College Senior

Online Courses: I found the online courses to be easy to follow but there were issues. It would difficult to get a timely response from the instructor and I felt disconnected from the rest of the class. There were also times the portal would be down, taking away from the convenience of online classes.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: There are ample computers and printers available on campus. The speed of the network is reasonable. Overall, impressed by the resources at a Community College.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: It is a small community college and the facilities are perfectly adequate but will not amaze you.

College Junior

Student Body: I have completed my first semester of general education classes online and will not be attending in person until the fall of 2013.

Career Services: The staff is very helpful, informative, and always doing their job. I attended another college years prior and it was dreadful, no one knew what was going on & I felt I knew more as a freshman than the staff at another college. I am so grateful to have such a great support team from every department I've come across at YCCC. I am a self learner and structured, I take online classes and LOVE them. YCCC has been adding more online classes the more they become popular. I have found that I've absorbed more information late at night, which would be difficult to attend a campus at midnight! If your in the area go here!! If your self motivated take online classes, they aren't for everyone so try one! I am studying for Liberal Arts degree, and will transfer to a university to achieve a Bachelor in Teaching. YCCC offers basic needs, but it is GROWING with YOU! I'm sure if a course is requested they will add it ?!?! You never know!

Academic Experience: Because this school is so small, they don't over very many classes other than what is required. The few elective classes they do offer are quite impressive. I wish there was more variety in what students can take. Registration is made easy enough, and the workload isn't overwhelming.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: Overall, most students at this school are there to work towards a higher education, and most of them are working when not in school. There are, however, the handful of students that don't take their classes seriously and don't care about their grades.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I am a liberal arts major intended on transferring to a university. So far, I've enjoyed a lot of my classes and have been given some great opportunities to take classes I wouldn't have been able to otherwise. Most of the faculty is wonderful, but there are a couple of teachers that I've had in the past that I do not think are fit for the job. The workload is what is to be expected.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The school netwoork is ....iffy. You can get the best Wifi when you're in the library,, but once you leave then it's gets really weak.Overall, the computer are fast enough to get stuff done.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: It's a ok school. Has many program and class for those who wants to get ahead in the work force.

4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: My experience at YCCC was very pleasing. All but one of my teachers were very easy to get together with and helpful with whatever questions I had. They are extremely genuine and their personalities make the experience that much better. Courses scheduling is very flexible, I work 32 hours a week so I needed somewhere that would be able to fit in with that work load, and YCCC did that for me.

4 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: I am a Dual Enrollment Student at YCCC. Still being in high school I took two courses a semester tuition free, which I was very pleased with. I think it's awesome that they give students like myself the opportunity to experience college classes without putting a whole in our wallets. I have greatly enjoyed my Psychology courses there, although some of the other courses I have taken were not as good as the Psychology ones. Overall I am quite pleased with the education lessons I have received at YCCC.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Computers everywhere, printers everywhere. Wireless is everywhere!!! Library has tons of books in stock or can order them from other libraries in the state or tons of information can be found online in QC Researcher!

5 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: They want you to succeed and get a job. This school is focused on the community and bettering it's people.

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Great!! I wish there was a little more interaction... maybe the teacher on a video. Online is great, I can work at my own pace and in my slippers on my couch! I save alot of time traveling to class and not to mention money from gas! I have all of my assignments in front of me at all times and haven't missed one yet. If I was to miss class, I'd miss something and would be behind, which is a mess to make up assignments and stay current.
