Greek Life: Greek life is fun, but can look down on those that are not in the system.

Health & Safety: New haven is not the safest place, but the security system is good.

Athletics: Because we don't have strong varsity teams, there is a lack of support. Exception include Mens Ice Hockey and the Harvard-Yale football game (which we always lose). IM's are largely attended by freshmen and club sports are not funded so they remain relatively unimportant.

Academics: Great academics, possibilities and there is a lot of support. The competitive nature and the GPA system can be overwhelming but still yield the best results.

Nightlife: The parties are ok. If you know a lot of people you will have fun, but otherwise you will end up hopping about and watching people get drunk and grind on each other.

Diversity: People are accepting of other cultures, races, religions and sexual orientations. However, very few are willing to actually learn about other cultures and actually interact on a deeper level with others of a different culture.

Majors: Career fairs take place at least once a year and a number of consulting and finance/banking firms visit the campus to recruit students for internships and jobs.

Diversity: Yale has a very diverse community. Yale accepts students from a number of different countries and associations such as the International Students Organization, South Asian Society and the Asian American Cultural Center are very prominent. A number of students at Yale study on need-based scholarships so there is economic diversity. The LGBT community at Yale is also prominent.

Health & Safety: Each Yale building has multiple blue phones that students can use during an emergency. Escorts are available at night to walk students for short distances as well as door to door shuttle service for longer distances. Yale police are visible on campus and so far I haven't had anything bad happen to me.

Academics: I majored in Psychology which is one of the most popular majors in the school. The workload is average. The faculty are talented and there are a number of research labs that students can join to gain practical experience.

Yale is, in every sense of the word, an incredible place. Students love the faculty, the classes, and the opportunities, not only because they are among the best in the world, but because they are highly accessible and undergraduate-focused. Yale is a place where academic theory blossoms into reality and where experiences exist that can't be found anywhere else in the world. It is a great privilege for students to continually study under the most knowledgeable people in their fields, from Nobel Laureates to international statesmen. Even though the Yale experience can be rigorous and demanding, most students wouldn't trade their years here for anything.

Yale prepares its students to meet the world with energy and knowledge. Its liberal arts education teaches students to think, to analyze, to question, and to consider. Yale graduates can do nearly anything they want, from working with Goldman and Sachs to obtaining a Ph.D. in ethnomusicology. Essentially, Yale successfully prepares its students for the pursuit of their passions in any area of life.

What ultimately sets Yale apart is the people that comprise its community. Yalies (students, faculty, and staff) are dynamic, fascinating people who continually surprise each other with their passions, their opinions, and their enthusiasm. Every student has a unique story to tell and interests to pursue. Yale is amazing because it gathers these diverse and remarkable individuals together for the same ultimate purpose: to learn, to grow, to thrive, and to discover themselves.
