Online Courses: The type of education I am receiving is not possible online. I am in Collision and Refinishing.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I have mixed feelings on this. We are there 8 hours a day and the teachers have to get paid. The thing I struggle with is I feel like I have to slop things together if I'm going to get everything done. I feel I am being rushed through and that quality isn't an issue. There are students cheating, having others do their work, and doing a sloppy job and they get done. I try to do it right, do my own work as instructed and can't complete everything. They get a higher grade than me. I wouldn't let them work on my car!

Academic Flexibility: There is no flexibility within reasonable life issues such as being sick or your vehicle breaking down. You lose points if you miss for any reason. I believe if you just didn't get out of bed because you drank the night before is no excuse, but you have people coming to school with pneumonia because if the non-flexible rules. If people have an honest to goodness reason, even if they need a note, they should not get points deducted. You wouldn't at a real job and it is unreasonable for school.

Overall Experience: I feel I have learned quite a bit, but there are things that could be improved upon. Possibly the teachers sharing how they might do it through a demonstration. Some things that are in the books we don't ever do in class that seem important to me like dealing with airbags and disabling the system before you work on a car. I do like what I have experienced up to now. I enjoy it! I like the instructors. They are doing there best.

Career Services: I haven't really had the chance to experience this part to rate it just yet.

Academic Experience: Some things need improvement. I realize they want to get through the books, but they are out of date on some things and we go through them so fast that I fumble somewhat in the shop. Maybe if we studied some in the book then shop then some more in the book then shop may help. Another possibility could be a live demonstration instead of a 1 minute video. I learn a lot but not $30,000 dollars worth.

Academic Experience: There are no opportunities to do work that you may need extra help on. If you don't complete it too bad. I am not sure how you would set it up with automotive, but maybe having a late night two times a month or so for finishing workout catching up. You have to slop through the projects to get them done. I saw less than acceptable work just to get it marked off for the grade. It seems it is more about getting it done than being graded on technique.

Facilities: I haven't found any unique opportunities other than outdoor activities that we couldn't afford if the school didn't give a discount. I mentioned before a school lounge with a coffee/smoothie bar, TV, lounge areas for visiting, study area with computer access only for homework. The website lead you to believe there was an exercise and nutritional program which I have not seen at all and the gym facility is not near large enough. The one and only pool table is so bad there are holes in the green covering.

Student Body: We get along well. Male to female doesn't interfere at all. We don't know a lot about each other politically, religiously or economically. Ethnic background doesn't seem an issue at all. Everyone is a collision repair person to each other. The biggest thing is those who don't do there work themselves or correctly get the same grade of those who do it right and by themselves with quality.

Campus Resources: The gym is too small for the size of school. I gained a different perspective about nutrition and exercise. The website lead me to believe that Wyotech had a program for students, but that is not the case. There isn't really time for activities and the money is generally not available after paying for your school costs. I would get involved more in community service, but times run so late. I have to study and get sleep. There isn't a place to really hang out like some student centers at colleges. Student lounge with a coffee/smoothie bar and TV. We have to be off campus because of a pet so a lounge/coffee house would be great!

Campus Resources: I would say what computer access and printing. There is no time to use them if so because you. Are in class and then the school closes. That could be a part of the lounge/coffee house. Would need to be opened until at least 10 pm.
