Tuition & Financial Aid: Because this is a technical school there are not a lot of opportunities for scholarships and grants. The school itself does not offer any. They do have a foundation that offers students the ability to apply for scholarships, but in talking with the staff--they rarely see any scholarships from their foundation. My mother and I did a lot of work on our own finding me scholarships and grants and I was able to obtain about $13K in scholarships and $5K in grants. But the scholarships I received were in the $500-$1000 range. The scholarships and grants are out there, but you have to be the one looking. The school does not help you, no matter what they say. It is up to you to do the looking and applying. No one is going to give you anything. The military does offer scholarships to those students who have served in the military.

Campus Resources: Since this is a tech school you would expect the type of equipment to be up-to-date. I found that this school definitely does not have all of the bells and whistles, but neither do most Collision shops out there. They had just the right equipment to teach using the equipment that students would find at shops around the world.

Academic Experience: I was a Collision Repair / Refinishing student with a major in Street Rod Fabrication. The classes I took delivered what I believed to be spot on as far as training for this profession. The workload was tough, the curriculum was tough, but so is life. This school definitely prepared me for the workforce. I was able to obtain a job offer before my graduation date and I started at that job when I was promised. I'm loving it.

Academic Flexibility: This is a weird one because I went to WyoTech to learn and to be challenged. There is no flexibility with your classes or curriculum. This school is an excellent school for those that are there to put in 150% of yourself. If you don't you have wasted a LOT of money and you would be better served staying home.

Student Body: This school has students that come from very diverse situations. You have students just out of high school, those students who have decided to switch careers and students that are military. This school is very unique in that they are very picky about who attends this school. If you like your hair long, sloppy clothes, with visible tattoos, this school is NOT for you. You have to go through a 'compliance checkpoint' every day entering the building and you MUST pass these compliance checkpoints or you go home. There is nothing to talk about, you go home and come back tomorrow and try again. At this school--neatness always counts.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I think the tuition is a little high for a nine month program but hopefully it will be worth it in the end.

Campus Resources: I love the campus the size and staff are exceptional!

Academic Flexibility: Class here is great, instructors have real world experience. They can easily show you how things are done in the shop as well as explain the material in the classroom setting.

2 Recent Alumnus

Student Body: a lot of the students are younger than I. the average student is in there 20's. All of the students share a common interest. you can easily spark a conversation up with total strangers just by looking at an automobile, regardless of your age, race, religion, or where you come from. Here at WyoTech the students all share a common interest, the love of an automobile.

4 Recent Alumnus

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid department helped guide me thru to various scholarship programs. they were very friendly and helped explain the process of filling out all the forms as well as making payment on current student loans.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: The campus activities are great to be involved in.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I love the fact that all of my courses are hands-on. My teachers are very reliable if I have any questions. The academic advisers are somewhat reliable. they really didnt help look for any scholarships or grants.

1 College Senior

Campus Resources: What they have is a joke, and might as well be non-existent.

2 College Senior

Campus Resources: Network is fast, wifi is non-existent, there are no printers, and we can get in trouble for using the computers for non school related use.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: There is not really any campus life unless you live at the secondary dorms 20 minutes away that are in another college town that actually does things for that college and we just kinda try to mingle in with them. There is a bus to and from school but if you don't have a car or know someone with a car then you're stuck walking to the store for food unless you're lucky and can actually catch the bus on one of the magical saturdays that it decides to appear even though its supposed to come every saturday but it doesn't.

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: They were very straight forward with me and helpful, but offered very little financial help outside of a loan. Everything though that was loan based was quick and easy and got responses very quick from the school.
