Overall Experience: WPI has an outstanding Career Development Center. If you use their services, they will work with you as much as they can to help you find a job. The statistics for WPI students finding jobs are really high, and that is largely do to the CDC. They also host two large Career Fairs throughout the year where hundreds of companies, large and small, attend and schedule interviews with students.

Overall Experience: Most introduction classes are large, but more specific classes quickly get much smaller. Not all professors are great, but most have a true passion for their subject and are more than willing to make themselves available for extra help in office hours.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: There is a very wide variety of types of people at WPI. The "nerd" stereotype is really not as prevalent as expected to be, although some such people do exist. There are geeks, there are partiers, and there are average people.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: The campus center is really a central spot to hang out, have meetings, get food or coffee with a friend or alone, and there are plenty of spaces to study there as well. The gym is a great facility, recently updated and widely used. Campus events are a HUGE thing, and something will be going on every day!

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: While there is certainly an athletic presence, the student involvement and attendance at games is not high, with the exception of Basketball.

5 College Sophomore

Scholarships: WPI is really conscious of people's financial need

Local Atmosphere: The city can be sketchy in some areas but it is a nice city to live in

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: They enforce the rules to the right degree of strictness

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: There are a lot of options really close to campus

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: It's ok. Not really good or bad

4 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Very fun and entertaining, and safe at the same time.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Athletics is highly regarded on campus by both students and faculty

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I really like the people. They are all very welcoming

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: The people are all dorky but in a good way

College Sophomore

Majors: Have not had any internships that have to do with my major. The main problem is that most internships require lab experience.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: There are a lot of different people here

4 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greek life brings a lot of life to campus

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Some nice restaurants, museums, parks maybe, but nothing too spectacular. Worcester is somewhat underrated but still not a preferable place to live.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: The quarter system is the best, having a break every 7 weeks gives the students a chance to relax for a few days between very challenging courses.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: I love everything about WPI and could not picture myself going anywhere else. The gym also just got redone and is beautiful.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Very hard to get a dorm on campus after freshman year

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: There are a ton of different people everywhere you look.

Most people who decide to come to WPI absolutely love the school. The small, welcoming atmosphere is wonderful. Students tend to like the campus itself, too; it's beautiful, especially in the spring. Occasionally, people dislike the workload at the school, but many people would return to WPI if they had to do it all over again.

The community at WPI is the best feature of the school; it's what keeps people there, even though the work is tough. Joining a club or a sports team is a great way to make WPI feel like "home." Even though students can be 2,500 miles from home, they can feel like they have family on campus, through involvement in sports and clubs.
