Local Atmosphere: The local vicinity does not offer much aside from the library, the cultural center, and the various dining places. However, about an hour drive gets you to Columbia, the state capital and largest city in South Carolina, and home to the University of South Carolina. There are many things you can do there! Definitely recommend. If you like outdoor activities, the mountains are close by too. :)

Local Atmosphere: The Chapman Cultural Center and Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium are within walking distance from Wofford. There are lots of bars and restaurants downtown as well. And about 10 mins away is the Dorman Center where there are lots of shops and restaurants.

Local Atmosphere: Spartanburg is a great town with a lot to offer college age students. There are 7 local colleges so the town really loves the college students and the diversity we bring to the community. The local restaurants here such as Cribbs, Farmers Table, and Taco Dog offer unique cuisine at a great price. Greenville is about 30 minutes away from campus which has high end restaurants, great shopping, and a beautiful downtown atmosphere if you are looking to "get away" for an evening.

Local Atmosphere: Fun but Not Super Exciting – I like the local atmpsphere because it's also my hometown. There are things to do in Spartanburg, and luckily we have Greenville close by if we don't want to do what's available in Spartanburg.
