Greek Life: Greek life is big. It dominates. And if you're someone who is not into it, dealing with the annoyances of Greeks will be a constant struggle.

Off-Campus Dining: Food is fine, plenty of options.

Academics: I am a Biology major and it is a pretty difficult major. There is a lot of work and I have to study a lot. There are a lot of tutors that are willing to help you though. Also the professors are very helpful. You can ask them questions in class or set up an appointment to talk to them in their office. They seem to love their students and really want to help them.

Local Atmosphere: The local vicinity does not offer much aside from the library, the cultural center, and the various dining places. However, about an hour drive gets you to Columbia, the state capital and largest city in South Carolina, and home to the University of South Carolina. There are many things you can do there! Definitely recommend. If you like outdoor activities, the mountains are close by too. :)

Drug Safety: As far as I can see, there's little to no drug scene at Wofford College. I've seen a few people smoke but that's about it. Students partake in drinking more than anything though and that's on occasion.

Academics: Professors are extremely accessible to students, both in and outside of the classroom. If a student ever needs outside help, professors are willing to meet with them, or set them up with the tutoring program at our school. Although workload is heavy, it is not unbearable. Alumni at Wofford make it easy for students to partake in internships, as well as open job opportunities for the future.

Academics: Wofford College has excellent academics. Although classes are rigorous, I truly believe Wofford will help you excel in all areas of life after graduation. Because it is a Liberal Arts College, you make many connections across studies that would not otherwise be noted at larger colleges or universities. Professors know each student by name in class, and are willing to invest time in and outside of class with them. I'm highly impressed with the travel abroad program at Wofford, as well as the special Interim (January Term) experience that allows students to learn about things they otherwise would never be able to learn about. I love Wofford and all that it has to offer!

Campus Dining: Not many dining options, and the times to go eat limited. There is also not much variety.

Drug Safety: Although alcohol is present at school, I don't believe there is an issue. I'm highly impressed by our amnesty policy, and how Campus Saftey deals with alcohol on campus.

Transportation: Since the campus is small, moving from place to place on the campus is very easy. It will take you no longer than 10 minutes to get from one side to the other by walking.

The campus also has pretty much everything you would need from a grocery store on campus, but when you feel like leaving campus, everything you could possibly want is within 10 minutes of driving. The only thing you'll need to worry about is finding a car, but as long as you or a friend has one, transportation is very easy around the town.

Computers: Computers are always there with people always willing to help you. Printing is free, well included in your tuition, so you don't really have to pay and in a sense have unlimited copies. You have the choice of wifi or ethernet. I prefer ethernet when I'm in my dorm.

Scholarships: My financial aid process was the best ever. Everything was fast and smooth.

Transportation: Having your own car at Wofford is fantastic, and easy. Parking is completely free, and convenient no matter where you are on campus. Local transportation isn't as easy, but as long as you or a friend has a car, it really is easy to get around.

Computers: The computer labs here are nice, and offer free printing, but I still recommend bringing your own. I don't know how i would function without my own laptop.

Greek Life: Greek life is huge at Wofford. I, however, am a non-greek female, and have plenty of friends who are and are not greek themselves. Their fraternity houses have parties nearly every weekend, and anyone can go. Even though lots of people have their own greek letters, they hardly create any divisions on our campus.

Majors: The physics program at Wofford is tough, but the resources and help are there if it is needed. The physics department is less lab-intensive, and more classroom intensive. We have less labs than the other sciences at Wofford, but that is slowly changing as we get more labs for the classes.

The professors are always there and have very open office hours to be able to help with something you don't understand, and if you can't catch one of them, you can easily find a TA to help you.

The department also meets frequently with the students to discuss opportunities that may be coming up for the students to participate in.

Campus Strictness: The campus is very strict when it comes to under-age drinking, and alcohol in general. At the fraternity houses, it is caught very quickly. The dorms are a different story, and it is slightly more easy to get away with it there. The honor code is taken very seriously, by both professors and students. Professors are trustworthy enough of the students to leave the classroom during exams for large periods of time, because they know there is nothing to worry about. Though if you are caught breaking it, there is swift punishment that will be dealt out.

Majors: Getting into a program/major is as easy as filling out the proper paperwork and turning it in. You will meet with the professor, and they will tell you a bit about the department. Some of them require additional steps, such as deciding what sort of specific program you want in the major. For instance, the physics major has pre-professional or pre-industrial. The professors help explain it all well though so you won't feel lost in the number and options of programs.

Majors: Internships are greatly pushed at Wofford. I have not had one yet, but am planning to as soon as I can. They are easy to get, and the professors are very helpful in guiding you through the process. Then we have a specific professor who is in charge of all the internships, and she keeps you well informed about any opportunities out there. They look good on future applications, give great experience, and are easily found at Wofford.

Campus Housing: All of the upperclassmen dorms are well maintained and look great. The freshmen dorms are being renovated, and i'm sure once they are done will look great too. The senior housing is above anything else. They aren't typical dorms, but are amazing houses/apartments done in a style similar to Charleston's housing.

Off-Campus Housing: I do not live off campus, and I don't know of many people who do.

Weather: During the summer periods of the semesters, it is beautiful and sunny. The campus looks great and it's nice to stroll around, but it does rain a lot there. It doesn't just drizzle, it pours, so it is a good idea to have rain gear.
