Facilities: Wiregrass Technical College is the absolute best college that I have ever been to. The instructors and staff are very knowledgeable and very helpful. They make you feel like you can always get help when you need it. I would never dream of being anywhere else to further my education!

Overall Experience: I have learned a lot from this school. The teachers are great! They dedicate their time so the students so they can understand an learn the material. If people need help with learning the material they offer free tutoring in the afternoons.

If I had to choose between this college and another, I would choose the college I'm attending to right now. I also like it bc they have clubs and activities. Once a semester they do like a carnival and give out food and drinks. They also have companies, stores, army, etc to come out and bring their tents and promote their offers.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The technical college I am attending is very good. Its tuition is great because I am paying in-state tuition. I am paying $85 per credit hour. In total for these past semesters I have been paying $844. The reason I say it's great is because at least I'm not paying out-of-state tuition or out-of-country tuition. That would mean I would have to be paying double or quadruple the regular tuition. I am thankful or this opportunity, but I would love to receive financial help.

Academic Flexibility: The classes themselves have been convenient, but registering for them can be difficult, because classes are not always available or they cause scheduling conflicts with each other. Financial aid is certainly not the most convenient experience, but once you get it straight, it's not as much of a headache anymore. Transferring credits is usually pretty easy, as long as it's done right the first time.

Student Body: The average student is not very hardworking. Unfortunately, many of my classmates don't give much concern to their grades or work ethics, but most do alright in their classes anyway. Some are just there to get their financial aid check and don't really care to learn what's being taught. The classes are fairly diverse, and there is never any discrimination. Of course some fields are dominantly male or female (i.e. nursing students are usually female, CIS students are usually male), but there is no real challenge to being in a nontraditional field.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The staff at the financial aid office are friendly and helpful, but the process to get aid is often a major hassle. There is a lot of paperwork, and when mistakes are made it is very difficult to track them down and get them resolved. Many times it is necessary to talk to multiple people in different offices, and sometimes they all say you need to speak with someone else.

Overall Experience: Overall my experience has been good. I have enjoyed my teachers, and the program has prepared me well for a job.

Facilities: As a technical college, the focus is on the classes more than 'campus life', especially since there is no campus housing, and most students are local. The classroom facilities are well maintained, although the computer equipment has become a bit dated.

Online Courses: I love taking online classes because of the flexibility it gives me. Although there are specific deadlines, I can work at my own pace to an extent, rather than having to be in class at specific times. I can work ahead if I want. There are generally more online classes available than face-to-face classes, and there is also the option to take online transient classes through another college that will transfer to your home college.

Academic Experience: The Networking major is really great. The program content really focuses on working with Windows networks, particularly in large server environments. I have enjoyed every class and feel well prepared for the field. The workload is not too heavy, but all material is covered thoroughly. The only problem I've experienced is that there is a frequent overturn of teachers in the networking department. On many occasions this causes the class to fall behind and miss important parts of the class until a new instructor can be found. However, my overall experience has been really enjoyable, and the teachers I've had have been helpful and encouraging. There are tons of job opportunities, as nearly every company has its own IT department, and smaller ones rely on IT companies that service many customers.

Academic Experience: There are lots of options when choosing a major. In the computer department, registering for classes can sometimes be a hassle, because the classes you need aren't always being offered, particularly when there are not enough instructors. Some classes can be exempted by taking exemption exams, earning certifications, or even interning for a semester.
