Campus Strictness: There is a line between being too safe and too lenient and I think Wilmington University has reached a perfect in between in regards to safety.

College Freshman

Campus Housing: There is no campus housing.

Drug Safety: The drug and alcohol scene at my school is not very big because there is no campus life. I think that is another reason why I like Wilmington University so much. Although students do participate in using drugs and alcohol I have never seen it on campus nor have I ever done it.

Local Atmosphere: I think the local atmosphere is great at Wilmington University because it is so close to home. There are other universities around and the students interact very much through parties, hanging out, and sports. Although it is Delaware, there is not much to do, we make the best of what we can here and I think with any creativity this place is fun.

Campus Dining: Campus dining is okat at Wilmington University. Because the campus is so small there is only one restaurant. There is food is pretty good but not everyone likes it. Overall dining is good and I am grateful we have it on campus at all.

Parking: The parking lot at Wilmington University is large, but it does fill up quickly. But how can anyone complain when parking is free. There is also a second parking lot if the first is too full. I recommend getting to school early so you can guarantee a close parking spot.

Computers: There is about 3 large computer labs at Wilmington University. There is always one free and a convenient time between classes or for a quick print job. There is also random computers on each floor for convenience. I use the printers at school because they are free! If someone wants to copy something, it cost ten cents total. Most of the time at school I bring my own computer because it is easier for me. There is free wireless internet that is very fast. I could not ask for a better computer system at my school.

Scholarships: I was gratefully able to receive financial aid for the past year in college. The experience was great because it was super helpful instead of having to pay out of pocket. The process is very simple. All you have to do is apply on the fasfa website. You have to fill out some personal information and then send it to the school you are attending through their fasfa code. A tip i would offer is to link the tax information from your tax provider onto the application to save time and it is less of a hassle. Another tip i would offer is to be sure you are paying attention. It is very easy to make a mistake!

Athletics: Although I am not a sports player, I do enjoy the activities. Wilmington University is a huge sports school from the players, teams, and fans. The school is very big on school spirit and supporting all athletic teams. I believe the fan support is something that holds Wilmington University together and makes the school all relate on one thing. Moreover, even people that do not like sports even attend our sporting events.

Academics: The academics at Wilmington University are the best in my opinion. I love the school for their course offerings such as education, business, nursing, and many more. This gives me the opportunity to switch my major at any time and still be satisfied with my overall degree. I also love the teachers. They truly care and want the students to do their best. I plan on staying at Wilmington University solely based on the academics.

Greek Life: There is no Greek Life at Wilmington University.

Health & Safety: There is an entire security team located at Wilmington University. They are very convenient and willing to help students and teachers when needed. They constantly patrol the campus and have recently stared a campus ID program so only ID holders are allowed to access the building without question. I feel very safe at my school.

Off-Campus Dining: The off-campus dining for Wilmington University is most fast food. Although there is a nice restaurant on campus, off-campus mostly includes McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts, Wawa and some other small places. The cost and location are convenient because their close and cheap for a college students budget. However, since most students do not live on campus choosing these places is not a common thing and most students can go home to eat or cook themselves as a healthier option.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: My school is strictly a commuting school so transportation is usually by car or public bus. Although gas is an inconvenient cost depending on a persons distance from the school the pay is not so bad. I live about fifteen miles from school and have class two times per week so my transportation bill is not that high. I chose this school because I am able to commute from home and still have a student life without living on campus. Overall, I do not mind the transportation options for school.
