3 College Junior

Computers: Computer labs are fine but sometimes they get closed and I can't attend when I need too. It makes it hard to do what you need to do.

College Junior

Guys & Girls: All my peers and friends for the most part dress casual. Dress code is pretty laid back, jeans, t-shirts loafers or tennis shoes.

College Junior

Drug Safety: Absolutely no one pressures you to partake in drugs or alcohol. You can go about campus and not have to worry about dealing with peer pressure.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: It is mostly fast food and all the drive thru's have a really cheap menu. As far as variety you have fish, mexican, american and roast beef. There are one or two restaurants where you have to eat inside. None of them have a student discount.

4 College Junior

Academics: I transferred from one school to come to Wilmington College. It has everything I had going for me at the other school and it is so much closer to home.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: The campus sends out notifications occassionaly notifying students of wireless problems or computer program shut downs or malfunctions. That is often frusterating. But they work hard to get it up and running in a days time. There are numerous printers and labs on campus that make it very accessable for anyone that needs to utilize them. I like having my laptop, i keep it at my room, but it is nice to have for social reasons as well as completing assignments at your own leisure.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: Agriculture is the best major, in my opinion, at Wilmington College. We have the best, most helpful and supportive Faculty of any here at Wilmington College. I have a friend in Athletic Training and her professors do not compare to our Agriculture professors and advisors. The workload is manageable if you practice time management and go to classes. There are numerous internship and job opportunities in Wilmington and surrounding areas. Although, the career services advisor as well as the Agriculture advisors are extremely useful in finding your path in life.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: There are different organizations on campus that make this college very accepting to diversity of students.

Campus Housing: The freshman dorms were not my favorite housing option-but it was required to live there. Although, living there, I made many friends whereas commuters told me they did not have that option to meeting more people. My second year, I lived out at Fife Hall on the college farm and I really think that the Fife Hall is a good option especially for students who like the quiet atmosphere away from town. I do think that housing on campus is way too expensive. The process of deciding where to live is not too difficult and makes sense. It is all based on your G.P.A, year in school, and semesters lived on campus.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: The weather has been crazy and abnormal this winter. Classes have been cancelled more often because of snow, and ice combinations. For the most part in the spring and fall the weather is appropriate and there is always things to do outside.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: The campus safety officers are somewhat lazy about their jobs. Also, I think the drinking policy is something that affects a student's social life. I believe student's would be more responsible with alcohol if they were allowed to drink at their leisure and in dorms and campus housing with less limitations.

4 College Sophomore

Parking: The permits are $50/year. I think that price is reasonable looking at some colleges and universities where you have to pay to park daily. Ticketing and fines are not used up to standards they should I think. I have a friend who did not purchase a parking permit yet still parks in the lots. I do not mind as much but I do see why people who bought a permit would because they have paid permit and those who park there "illegally" do not. There really is not a need for a car on campus. Everything is so close and you are in walking distance from everything. You may also meet friends that will have cars and you can always car pool to activities. Most parking spaces are convienent. The only time they are not is when there are games going on.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: Everything is so close on campus, most students walk, ride bycicles, or drive to classes or wherever need be. There is enough parking options available at Wilmington College and throughout the city that makes parking convienent. I don't think there is a need for public transit because you do not have enough people to guarentee that there will be enough business for it.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Off-campus dining is great in Wilmington. There is a variety of eateries including: Italian, Mexican, Chinese, American, and many fast food options as well. Two of my favorite places are Buffalo Wild Wings and Austin's Casual Eatery. I think the fast food operations offer more discounts than the bigger restaurants.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Wilmington is a small town with quite a bit to offer. I like how the college is so close to town, you don't have to go far for groceries or a bite to eat. There are multiple parks to visit, and a bike trail to utilize. I think the college has more cultural events than the town of Wilmington does. Something that could improve would be the shopping. More clothing centers or strip mall type of shops would be attractive to college students. I think the employees at the businesses value students by offering discounts, or deals to enrolled students.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: I think the food and dining options on campus are okay. I think that the hours could be changed to accomodate more students at the college. For example, opening the underground before 6pm. The menu at the TOP dining room has a wide variety from the soup, sandwhich, and salad bar to the grill, fryer, or veggies that are always offered.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: The policy of a dry campus is enforced-which I think it should be lifted just because its is safer for someone to be drinking in a room on campus instead of walking somewhere off campus just so they dont get wrote up or in trouble with college officials. Sometimes there is an accumulation of alcohol cans and bottles left in parking lots or yards of campus but for the most part the college's physical plant and groundskeeping does a good job of keeping litter picked up. I think peer pressure is your own weakness. As long as you are a strong-willed person, which many people here at Wilmington College that I have met are, you do not get involved with anything you're not comfortable with.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Most students dress appropriately and dress for whatever occassion they are attending. The college population is very diverse in ethnicity as well as relationship beliefs.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: The safety aspect of Wilmington College is organized and carried out well in my opinion. The campus is small so one call to campus safety and they normally are always available for assistance. The health center at Wilmington, however, is not very impressive. The doctor is only available for an hour not even five days a week. I dont believe their procedures of diagnosing students illnesses are necessarily appropriate, caring, or responsible.

4 College Freshman

Academics: There are many internships available for Agriculture majors and the professors are great about telling students about the internships and helping them succeed in gaining internships. The program is also well put together and I enjoy the program as a whole.

4 College Freshman

Academics: The professors at the college are really good at helping students when they need extra help. The workload can be a lot but it is manageable with correct time management. Registration is simple and is not as difficult as it may seem.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: There are many different views on campus and there isn't one view that is correct.

3 College Freshman

Computers: Wifi is accessible pretty much everywhere on campus and there are plenty of computer labs for students to go to for school work and socializing.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There a quite a few options but not as many as to try something new often. The pricing is pretty good for all of the restaurants.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: I don't see very many problems on campus and when I do hear about problems campus security or faculty take care of the problem as soon as possible.
