3 College Junior

Campus Resources: The library is not what I thought it would be. It is great to have nonfiction but fiction is very important to learning also. I am wanting to become a fiction writer and it is not very well understood that much can be learned from those stories that are out of our world.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: I have not really used the computers so for me this question is N/A.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: It is a very nice school but my choice of career had to change so it was difficult to go around that. I would have liked more help with choosing classes and deciding on a specific degree.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Sometimes it is hard to know what you pay when you are taking online classes but the financial aid is very helpful.

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I have had two spinal fusions and am gone a lot for medical and the school has been very accommodating.

4 College Junior

Facilities: I have not been in many schools but I find it interesting that the art classrooms are in their own seperate area. It is nice since it stays quieter that way.

5 College Junior

Career Services: The school is very helpful with this and sends emails about jobs that may help with your career.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I just decided on business so I am not much help with this question.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I am sure the academics are good but I have not been at the school a whole lot so I do not know much about it.

5 College Junior

Online Courses: It is not the same as being in a classroom but it is easier to interact with other students if you are shy. It is easy to navigate and the professors are helpful.

4 College Junior

Student Body: I have only taken courses at the school for one semester so this is a bit difficult. When I was there everyone was helpful. Living in oil country the school is getting much more diverse so that is good.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: Overall they are good. The proctor thing is kind of a pain, since one of the reasons to take o line classes is to be able to work at your own time. You can't really do that if you are having to coordinate with the education center on base.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: We are always getting updates about social functions, weather events, etc. the communication with the school is too notch. For a small school, they have an amazing staff who is very knowledgeable and helpful!

College Junior

Career Services: Never really used it, because never really had a need to

3 College Junior

Online Courses: Good peer-to-peer and teacher interaction while she was online. However, sometimes the "Help me solve" was not very well explained. Workload was not bad, unless procrastinated. Registration was very simple.

Campus Resources: What I find interesting at Williston is how different everyone is. The town is going through an oil boom, which is bringing many different cultures here. I love being a part of it, and watchinging as everyone grows friendships. It is really unlike any college in the U.S.

4 College Student

Campus Resources: My school offers a large amount of commons for students to get help. We have a learning center, academic success center, free online tutoring 24hrs/day, and great study areas. These areas truly are great places for students to go to if they need some extra help.

3 College Student

Career Services: I plan to transfer from WSC after one year. This choice helps me get my first year of generals out of the way while saving money. The one thing I am worried about is if my credits will all transfer to a university. Since I am not yet looking for a career this is my concern post grad.

3 College Student

Student Body: My school constists mostly of athletes. There are cliques, athletes vs. non athlettes.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: Network Isn't Bad – We have 3 computer labs that are open until 9pm every night. They always seem to be up and running and are accessible as long as a class isn't using them.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: WSC is in the middle of a boom town. Therefore, they have a lot of money to help students out with loans and finances.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: I Like It – I really like the professors at my college. They all are very intelligent and friendly. It is a smaller campus, so I am able to receive one on one help quite often. I also enjoy all the activities the college offers; such as, free bowling, dances, games, mic nights, ect.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: Constantly Being Updated – Williston State College is in the middle of a boomtown. Which means money. Therefore, WSC has had the been updating the facility. The library has been updated, a large section is being built onto the building, and new dorms were put up last year. There are two gyms; one is new. The campus offers a ton of activities such as, open mic night, bowling, dances, fundraisers, trips and much more. There is a hockey team, volleyball team, basketball team (male and female), baseball team, choir, and band.

3 College Student

Tuition & Financial Aid: Sign up Early – So far my tuition is fairly affordable but I have found out the hard way that I should have started signing up for scholarships a lot earlier. I would definitely say that if you don't get many scholarships it is still possible to pay to go to school here, but I plan to continue to apply for scholarships so that I can save up for more money when I transfer to the University of North Dakota.

3 College Student

Campus Resources: Still Expanding – Right now my campus is not very large because we were a small town. Since we are now growing in population our campus has had to start a lot of renovation projects as well as brand new facilities for the large influx in students.
