5 College Sophomore

Facilities: There are so many places to study on campus. From study rooms in the library to floor lounges in the dorms, you can always find peace and quiet to study. If you are a spiritual person like I am, Carey's Baptist Student Union offers weekly events for students.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: The professors are very easy to get to know. All of the classes are very small, usually less than 30. It makes it easier for the professors to know you.

Academics: As a biology major looking to go to medical school, I had a great opportunity with my work study job. I got to work in the office of the medical school on campus. I got to know several of the secretaries in the Dean's suite.

Diversity: This school is quite diverse when it comes to students of different nationalities. There are students for all of the earth like Germany, Nepal, and many other places.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: The scholarships that William Carey offers are really great. The financial aid process was easy.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: My overall experience with courses and professors has been great. Everyone is really helpful. The classes are fairly small which allows our professors more time to work with students individually if they need help. The courses have been challenging, but as long as I have done my best I have finished them with A's.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The career service center on campus does a great job of making the students aware of potential job opportunities near campus.

Campus Dining: We only have one dining hall on campus. However, in that one dining hall there is always a salad bar, pizza, hamburgers, a sandwich bar, a healthy choice bar, a dessert bar, and at least two other meal options. You can eat as much as you want for the same price. I think it's $6 without a meal plan, and there are at least 3 meal plan options.

Academics: The professors at William Carey are extremely nice, and they are always willing to help. The classes tend to cover a lot of material in a short period of time because we are on the trimester system. Getting registered for classes is a fairly easy process. You pick up a list of all the classes available for that trimester and decide what you are going to need to take. Then you go talk to your adviser, and they will help you get everything set up. The most popular areas of study at William Carey seem to be Religion, Nursing, Education, and Music.

Academics: Being a nursing major at William Carey is great. It's a 3 and a half year program, so it can be very stressful at times. However, all of the professors are willing to help all they can.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: The students who participate in the Greek life on campus are the same as everyone else. The only difference is that they put in a lot more volunteer hours. That's what being Greek is all about at William Carey. It's another opportunity to serve.

3 College Junior

Facilities: The student life on campus is okay. Our facilities are adequate for the most part. The library doesn't have many books, but the people who work in there are always friendly and willing to help. The student center is always hosting events that offer free food that is catered by local restaurants.

5 College Junior

Health & Safety: As far as I know, there has not been any crime on campus. Our security officers do a great job of keeping the campus safe. I always feel safe while I'm on campus.

College Junior

Nightlife: I typically avoid the nightlife and party scene, but from what I've heard they are both great.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of fast food restaurants off-campus, but there is also a wide variety of other restaurants. Many places offer discounts, and a lot of the places are already pretty inexpensive. OEC is one of my favorites. They have fantastic fried rice and sushi rolls. I can get two or three meals for about $6.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: The school policies don't have much of an impact on students' academic or social lives. It is a Christian university so drugs, alcohol, and tobacco are strictly prohibited. However, they offer many opportunities for students to socialize in a fun yet Christlike environment.

3 College Junior

Athletics: Sports are a pretty big deal around campus. William Carey inspires a lot of school spirit when it comes to sports activities, and they also encourage student support of the teams.

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: The area has many things to do. There are lots of restaurants near the campus, and the mall isn't very far away either. The area around the campus generally feels very safe. Many businesses near the campus offer special savings and such for William Carey students, and they also host events to support the school.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: The college is very strict on its rules.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: William Carey gives out scholarships like candy on halloween

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: There is a good atmosphere of certain things, not much to do though.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: Not much actually....just a small community.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Everyone is usually very nice and kind.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: Nothing like home, but it keeps you fed.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Everyone gets along, and some of the people you live near will become your best friend
