Campus Strictness: The school is fairly strict when it comes to important topics. Wheaton College is known for its honor code which is upheld for the most part by students so there are not as many issues as there may be without it. Also, I believe the public safety officers are not seen as out to get the students, people look to them as being there to keep the students safe which is great. All of the public safety officers are also very nice and are usually willing to have a nice conversation, they treat us more like equals than inferiors.

Campus Strictness: Our school is very strict, especially when it comes to noise violations, alcohol and drugs. However, we are getting a new dean in the coming years so this could very well change.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: The Honor code is pretty well respected. PS definitely has its favorite targets.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: It's not strict but not too lenient

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: It depends on the crime, who you are, and how much of a fuss you make about it.

As long as you are not obviously wasted, there is not a lot of need to worry when it comes to campus strictness as far as partying goes. While Public Safety and RAs are always visible, they do not see the need to verify that everyone at every single party is of age. In addition, no one reports their interactions when dealing with Public Safety as negative. Rather, respect is noted to be the key component to having successful conversations with the officers. However, the actions of those who are obviously wasted on campus, including assaults, an increase in vandalism, and underage drinking, are met with strict enforcement. Those suspected of such deeds must face the hearing board for breaking the honor code. The punishments for such actions can even result in expulsion but are more often expected punishments, such as taking an alcohol education class. The enforcement of the honor code also extends to academic work. The hearing board also decides cases involving plagiarism, which the campus is keen on catching.

On the less serious side of things, parking and noise violations are also seen to be needlessly strict. Many students complain that parking lots are not well labeled, so those who happen to accidentally park their car in the wrong spot are wrongfully penalized. The existence of noise nags some students as well, for there is a divide between students on whether dorms should be places of socialization or study. Such small nuisances rarely get students down, though, because overall Wheaton is a very relaxed campus. The easy ability to have other students visit and to create new clubs and organizations serves to distract students from the rare exhibits of campus strictness.

Visitation Policies
If you would like to have a guest stay over, you must get approval from your roommate. Other than that, the only other rule is that your guest cannot stay for longer than three consecutive days in your room. It is also notable that Wheaton will hold you responsible for any wrongdoings that your guest commits.
