Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

The words “For Christ and His Kingdom” resound through the air of Wheaton’s campus, defining Wheaton students and guiding the faculty. Statistically, Wheaton students are some of the most contented in the nation. Why? The main reason given for this love of Wheaton is, simply, the fellow students. Nowhere else will you find so many talented, passionate, genuine, and Christ-centered students gathered in one place. The people you find at Wheaton will inspire you. They will challenge you, teach you, and change your life for the better. Likewise, the professors at Wheaton are dedicated to educating the whole person. Yes, you will have to study at Wheaton. That's a fact. But you will also be given the tools necessary to use your hard-earned knowledge to make a difference in the world. The few students that express discontent generally are not at Wheaton by their own choice and are upset about the restrictions placed upon them.

The Wheaton College experience is completely unique. From a caring faculty to impressive academics, from studying and serving abroad to intense IM competition, great food, and crazy dorm life—this school offers it all. However, it must be mentioned that Wheaton is not for everybody. In fact, it is a school for a very specific group of people. Wheaton is a school for those who want to grow in their Christian faith, be challenged in every area of their lives, and impact the world in which they live. Indeed, in endorsing the Wheaton College motto, students truly to come to Wheaton “for Christ and His Kingdom.”

5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Love, love love the community! I live in Fischer Hall, it is wonderful. You do have to clean your own bathroom, as you are suite-d with another room (bathroom connects you). But for most people this is no issue. I love Fischer Hall. Live there!!

Computers: Wi-fi can be spotty. Also, if you choose not to bring your own printer, you must use the schools and you pay for that. Not terrible, but not ideal, either way.

College Freshman

Greek Life: Non-existent. And thank goodness, too!

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Basketball games are very well attended and fun. I only wish we supported our football team more. Football games just aren't very fun cause no one goes!

Local Atmosphere: Wheaton is a wonderful, safe town. I love it. However, there is not much to do here. That being said, us Wheaton College students generally work very hard on our school work, so it isn't as if we have much time to be doing things off campus anyways. And, Chicago is always just a train ride (and a few $) away!
