Nightlife: It depends on the student. There are no bars or clubs near the campus. The campus is a dry campus. So, no drinking occurs on campus. However, the school has multiple great late night opportunities on campus.

3 College Freshman

Computers: The schools computers are great, but the poor wireless connections frustrate students trying to work on their personal laptops.

4 College Freshman

Parking: Because the campus is so small there really is not a huge need to have a car. But, students who do own cars enjoy good parking and service.

4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: There is only one dining hall on campus (its a small school), but they do a great job of providing for many different needs on campus.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Every student upon applying to the school signs the Community Covenant, a document with that outlines expectations for behavior on and off campus. While some might see it as strict, the Covenant is an essential part of life at Wheaton.

Health & Safety: Wheaton is such a safe school...nothing gets stolen and students don't break the rules. Its a quiet, little town so there isn't much trouble.

Campus Housing: Dorm life is so awesome! There is a real sense of community and friendship throughout the entire dorm.

College Freshman

Greek Life: We actually do not have any Greek life at all. Seriously.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: While the financial aid process is easy, getting said aid is sometimes difficult. Plus school is pretty expensive.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Citizens get along really well with college students, downtown Wheaton is close and SUPER cute, Wheaton is a very safe place to live and get around, and you can easily take the train to downtown Chicago!

4 College Freshman

Parking: Permits are really expensive, but you don't really need a car on campus. Take the train! Walk! Bike! Its easy to get around.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: The student center is a fun place for students to hang out (and get good coffee!), the athletic center is technologically advanced and well-maintained, and the library is a good resource with lots of help and study space.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: We have chapel three times a week, and it really brings the school together when we worship.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I don't know much about off-campus housing because I have not had to look for it, as I am a freshman.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I am in so love with my school. The profs are amazing, personable, willing to take their own time to help you succeed, care about you as a person, and want to see you thrive here. There is an incredible community of people that really care about you academically, personally, and spiritually. Classes are challenging and require a lot of work, but they are very interesting and are worth the work. There are a lot of great traditions that take place at school, and I have loved every minute of my experience here so far.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: The college is not extremely diverse, but it works hard to promote acceptance and tries to recruit many new minority students.

The words “For Christ and His Kingdom” resound through the air of Wheaton’s campus, defining Wheaton students and guiding the faculty. Statistically, Wheaton students are some of the most contented in the nation. Why? The main reason given for this love of Wheaton is, simply, the fellow students. Nowhere else will you find so many talented, passionate, genuine, and Christ-centered students gathered in one place. The people you find at Wheaton will inspire you. They will challenge you, teach you, and change your life for the better. Likewise, the professors at Wheaton are dedicated to educating the whole person. Yes, you will have to study at Wheaton. That's a fact. But you will also be given the tools necessary to use your hard-earned knowledge to make a difference in the world. The few students that express discontent generally are not at Wheaton by their own choice and are upset about the restrictions placed upon them.

The Wheaton College experience is completely unique. From a caring faculty to impressive academics, from studying and serving abroad to intense IM competition, great food, and crazy dorm life—this school offers it all. However, it must be mentioned that Wheaton is not for everybody. In fact, it is a school for a very specific group of people. Wheaton is a school for those who want to grow in their Christian faith, be challenged in every area of their lives, and impact the world in which they live. Indeed, in endorsing the Wheaton College motto, students truly to come to Wheaton “for Christ and His Kingdom.”
