4 College Junior

Campus Housing: It is expensive to live on campus, but amenities are included and they are furnished so it seems worth it to me.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Living on campus is nice. Being close to your classes and having fresh food close by is great.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I chose the apartment style living. In my apartment it was 6 people, a full kitchen, furnished bedroom, furnished living room, and two restrooms. This option was the best for me seeing as how it allowed me to have my own room, which was very important to me. They campus itself offered a decent amount of amenities; full gym, indoor pool, cafeteria, small store, cafe, and grills. The overall campus atmosphere was very relaxed which helped, especially during stressful times of the year.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I lived in Olwell and loved it. Most people were very friendly and said hello whether or not you knew each other. The rooms were great because we had the living room that we could all gather in, but we each had our own room to go to when we needed it. The floor activities and ICE meetings were a great way to stay involved.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Westminster has several housing options, though a majority of students choose to live off campus. Freshman and sophomores are required to live on campus in traditional dorm rooms or apartment-style dorms on the village green (it's actually a really pretty location). Upperclassmen can choose to live in college own housing off campus at Westminster On the Draw, an apartment building with dorm-style apartments and awful parking, or in a college owned house, usually within a block of campus. The buildings are well well-kept and nice -- about your average housing experience. The biggest downside is the expense. As a private college, Westminster's housing costs are sky-high.

Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

There is not much on-campus housing at Westminster, but the school is trying to add more. The freshman-only dorms are Carleson and Hogle, and they are not bad to live in. Sometimes drunk kids trash them, and they get dirty over the weekend, but you meet so many people that it's like a little family.

As a student gets older, there are more living options for him or her. There are three apartment-style housing options on campus: Olwell, Stock, and Behnken. These have kitchens and bathrooms, and a living area in addition to single bedrooms. However, because these units house between two and six students, it can sometimes feel like you're living with a crowd. Upperclassman students are also eligible to live in either the Century or Villa Darvi apartments.
