Career Services: patty has helped me a lot, she is nice and always willing to help

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Taking classes through Western Wyoming has helped prepare me to transition to a 4 year college

Academic Flexibility: Completing work for online classes is good except when the systems are down. Instructors got back to me when I emailed them questions.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: I am entered as non-degree seeking because I haven't graduated from high school yet. The online classes have had a huge workload.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: There weren't many class options for me to register for summer online classes

4 College Senior

Student Body: I have only interacted with other students online and in my dual credit high school classes. I enjoy my dual credit class interactions and liked the social responses in my online anthropology class.

3 College Senior

Career Services: Haven't experienced this portion of school yet

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: Computer systems down periodically when taking online classes.

5 Recent Alumnus

Facilities: They were very helpful in academic advising to help me get the right classes and get what I needed done to be able to get an education.

Tuition & Financial Aid: There were many times that when I made a change money just "disappeared." They told me that this money was stated wrong on my site, but I still don't understand this. Also, I had to drop a couple of courses due to surgeries, and other issues, and I actually ended up paying money for it????

They need to figure their systems out. As far as my account states, vs theirs (since my "site stated wrong") I am still owed nearly $500.

Student Body: The student body has been awesome! There are many different students, from different religions, backgrounds, careers, locations, and degree they are seeking. One of my favorite times is at the beginning of the semester when we post who we are, photos, what degree we are seeking, and anything else we want to share. The diversity is exhilarating.

Overall Experience: My school has offered an accredited degree with many courses available. But, they really lack academic advisors that answer your questions and are always there to help. I have had to take over enrolling myself, and dealing with any unexpected issues, myself.

However, the low cost has made getting my 2 year degree worth it. I currently have, come December, 66 credits. The hardest part is the online math courses. There is a low variety of instructors to choose from, and many put way to much points on the 2 main- non note using- exams.

The biggest reason, however, for me not being sure if I would choose this school again, is that there are a lot of classes offered, but many great ones (like creative writing) are not offered online.

Career Services: The job prospects are high. Living in a different town makes you want to move closer to campus because there are constant posts on upcoming jobs, and internships.

Academic Experience: I am studying education and psychology. Some unique aspects of the teaching program is that every semester there is an OC class at the local high school. For the last couple of semester there have been 2 or less students in the class; but they still make it available. This year I am the ONLY person at the Outreach site taking the Foundations/Practicum course- but it is still open and available to me. This is awesome!

Academic Experience: The professors, on average, have been great. But there have been a few that were not there for the students, refused to help, never answered questions, etc. This is very hard on long distance learner. It is discouraging, and I have met several people who have had a hard time passing a class due to this.

Another issue I have had is that there are some teacher who jump peoples grades up just because.

Thankfully, the majority of the professors are great, and are there for the students. Without them many online learners would fail.

Online Courses: I have enjoyed my online courses. However, they main difficulty I have found is that the work load is about the same, but, there is less adequate communication/response time when there is a question for homework. Where we don't get the quick response like you would in class, homework becomes VERY challenging in times of un-clarity.

4 College Senior

Facilities: The facilities are set up to emphasize what the academic program is. This brings a higher respect for the area of study.

5 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: As I have applied to a University, I can say all my credits were excepted. The ladies in the office jumped on getting my transcripts sent so that I would know what EXACTLY I needed before actually transferring. They were great!

Campus Resources: Smartthinking; this is where we can turn in an essay, for free, as many times as we need. It is amazing and really improves the content, grammar, and grade of an essay.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: The network reliability is great. It has only crashed a few times. We are also given notice when ANY updates will be made; that way we can get ahead before we fall behind.

4 College Sophomore

Career Services: Um I would say at this point that I don't have very good information on the topic but, I will research it.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I think that the tuition should cover expenses for the whole school year instead of for one semester. It is very frustrating for me to have to come up with another two thousand dollars that I don't have and I don't want to take out another loan.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: There is the hay library and other libraries around town where you can find the information that you need to complete your studies.
