4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: You will likely have the option of living downtown, near campus, or in a more suburban environment. Generally, most apt's and houses are really nice, but you have to be careful. There are landlords out there that will charge you unreasonable prices for what are basically crap holes.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Easy to get food late at night, not a ton of options but it is good.

5 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: Pros are that off campus housing is close to campus or a bus route. The price of housing is about the same and there is a lot of availability.

College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: I don't really know much about off-campus housing to be able to accurately gauge the quality of it.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: If you start looking early enough it will be worth it. There is a large variety of housing options all over Bellingham and it depends on personal opinion which places are best for you. Typically any housing that is geared toward college students will be close to the bus line which makes transportation vary easy. Typically landlords will raise the rent after your first lease and it is up to you if you want to stay or try to find another place. It is accurate to say that the cheaper the rent the more likely it will be a poor quality apartment/condo/house. But again, if that is not an issue you can find some really cheap housing.
