Online Courses: The only thing I have had a problem with is meeting deadlines. I honestly did not know when some of the items were due. Thank goodness the teachers care and let me send it in with a penalty so it wouldn't be a Zero. Everything else is great.

Career Services: I have not personally experienced this yet but I have heard several others commenting on the companies contacting them for employment. The petroleum technology department that I am in is a new program. They already have companies scouting for employment. I am so excited to be a part of this college and the opportunities it has.

Academic Flexibility: I chose this school because of it is personable with its students. It has small classes and you are an individual not a number. I looked at several colleges and Western Texas was an easy choice for me. My english class is killing me but the other 4 classes have been great. This is a great college choice.

Academic Flexibility: As a dual credit student, I find that WTC is extremely flexible. I was able to complete 26 hours dual credit my junior year of high school and will finish my high school career with just under 40 credit hours. The credits that I am earning will transfer to a four year college. This will allow me to enter the university as a sophomore.

Academic Experience: I am a dual credit student taking general studies classes in order to get my basic curriculum completed in an environment that is conducive to first year students.

Campus Resources: Western Texas College has provided me with the opportunity to earn college credit prior to graduating high school at a very competitive cost. This is greatly reducing my overall educational expenses.

Academic Experience: Although I am not a traditional student and only taking dual credit courses, I have found that the registration process is easy to understand and the access to assistance is adequate.

Campus Resources: Again, I can't provide an adequate response because I am not a traditional student. The facilities that I have been exposed to are decent.

Campus Resources: I can't provide an accurate rating for this element because I do not use campus resources. I am a dual credit student taking classes off campus.

Campus Resources: The internet or system that they are on is awful. It is always slow or doesn't connect, and sometimes, it will kick you off. However, the instructors do not allow anyone to use this as a reason for late work. However, the computer lab is well organized and nice. You can only print if it's for that instructor's class though.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition at WTC isn't outrageous. I see it as fairly decent for what you're getting. My education has been worth it thus far as well. They offer decent financial aid, but it is somewhat complicated. It helps to check out the website and ask lots of questions. Also, be aware of due dates!

Academic Experience: Being a graphic design major at Western Texas College is fairly easy as long as you know how to manage your time. I work and go to school so it is sometimes hard, but the hours that the lab is open helps. They have three nights a week where the lab is open late for those who need extra time to work. The instructors are helpful and I basically have most of the things I need at my finger tips.

Campus Resources: The campus resources aren't bad. Everything is very spread out, so unless that building is used for your major or sport, you probably won't visit it much. I am an art major so I know more about out art rooms; which are fairly decent.

Student Body: Western Texas College has equal parts local students and international students. We have students from various countries as well as cities from the U.S. Most of the students are middle class.

Academic Flexibility: The teachers at Western Texas College are very knowledgeable of the classes they teach. That is why I chose this school. They are also very helpful and don't only act as a teacher but as an equal as well. The school is fairly flexible. I am able to work and go to my classes. The credits, however, are not transferable to some schools.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I get no financial aid, so I do not know about that, but I feel that I am getting a great education for the tuition. The welding program is very expensive to run because of how much gas we go through, but the tuition is the same as for other courses. Its great!

Academic Flexibility: Even though it is more strict than high school, the professors are still pretty flexible. There are deadlines but most teachers still give you the flexibility of turning stuff in!

4 College Senior

Online Courses: I really like online courses better than being in a classroom setting. Its pretty easy once you get used to it but you have to be self motivated. You have more freedom and leniency in an online course. So you have to make yourself do the work.
