1 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: I've never been in a more boring town. It is absolutely beautiful... But you can only stare out at it for so many moths before you need to get back into civilization.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Everyone in town is either a student at the college them selves or have kids going to western OR they just live there because it is close the the ski resort Crested Butte. Everyone in town in relaxed and likes the college students, we make up the majority of the towns population i think. (This is a SMALL TOWN!)

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Like I said, it's a small town with plenty of charm. The townspeople are usually pretty welcoming towards college students and if they aren't, then they keep to themselves. Crested Butte is a big attraction for skiiers and snowboarders and we also have Monarch mountain which is a smaller, less expensive skiing destination. There are so many local activities going on from the lighting of the Christmas tree, to a fun Pagen celebration called Vinotok, and Western's welcoming week for students. The shopping is less than desirable and our walmart is extremely small and limited, but it's a small town so it's expected.

5 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Gunnison is possibly the best small town city I have ever had the pleasure to live in. All around it is a wonderful place to be.

5 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: It's such a cute little town. As long as you don't mind being in a small town away from big cities, you'll love it.
