5 College Senior

Student Body: No student feels left out in regards to their cultural identity, and it truly feels like a melting pot.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: Free wi-fi, free printing for up to 80 sheets, reliable speed.

Campus Resources: The library is the cornerstone of the education here, bar none. Included in the library is the Sam J. Irvin museum and the Mark Twain collection. The weight room, however, feels to cramped in, especially for substantial class sizes.

Overall Experience: While I gave up the opportunity to attend a four year university, this college has really benefited me greatly as far as preparing me for the transition. The camaraderie of the school makes it unique, where nobody feels like a stranger. If I had the choice to redo WPCC again, I would, perhaps with a different pathway in mind.

Academic Flexibility: The usage of online teaching has really opened up my schedule and allowed more flexibility in regards to completing the tasks, talking to instructors, and continue my off-campus ventures. Transferring credits was relatively easy, the college will accept AP scores of three, which helps when completing the associates degree, but not so much for transferring to other universities.

Tuition & Financial Aid: At the basic cost of tuition, it is worth it. Financial aid has been extremely beneficial, making sure every student has an equal and fair opportunity to receive aid. The best way to receive financial aid here is through the scholarships, of which there are over two dozen possible choices.

Facilities: The overall external look is a beautiful sight, though signs of aging inside the building are apparent. Socially, students are friendly and cohesive.

Online Courses: This is possibly the college's brightest spot. The courses are varied enough to provide an equal chance at completing the program as in-class students. The usage of both Blackboard and Moodle make a more collaborative process between students and students - to - teachers.

Academic Experience: To begin with the negative, registration can be a huge hassle, especially if classes are removed from the schedule without consulting the student first. However, all of that aside, the curriculum is good, professors are friendly and easy to reach, the workload varies depending on the teacher, and there is an abundance of classes.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: The courses and program layouts provide a substantial educational experience that helps curb the costs of normal education.

Student Body: I don't start classes until the new year so I haven't had much interaction with the other students.

4 College Junior

Career Services: I haven't had to use their services yet.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Initially, I thought I would feel out-of-place going back to school but so far I have been warmly welcomed.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: I've never had a problem accessing a computer on campus.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: Academic Success Center - everyone is extremely helpful and pleasant. After taking a pretest for the placement test I was given topics to review. Although I worked mostly at home online, there was always someone to help and tutors were readily available.
