Drug Safety: I'm not sure of the questions meaning.... Drug use and alcohol consumption is relevant, but I wouldn't say it was worse than any other public university.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: There's a lot of Weed off campus

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: They teach us to drink responsibly and safely. I understand that, I don't drink at all or party but I've been the designated driver for friends. And they have programs that will come pick you up so you don't drink and drive.

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Not many students do drugs.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: People arent really pressured into it. People who want to do it find people to do it with and dont force others into it

At Western, there is not a lot of drug use, other than marijuana. Typically, most students will drink more than they will use drugs. In fact, people who do anything harder than marijuana are very rare. The amount of marijuana use throughout the University is spread out among groups; however, it is not uncommon to see someone smoking a joint near a party.

If you do not like drug use, avoiding the types of people who do these drugs is possible. There are so many students at the University that picking the types of people you like to hang out with is easy.
