4 College Junior

Nightlife: Fraternity parties and house parties are the most common/popular parties. As far as bars, most people go to Hilligans which is a bar right on the edge of campus. On a normal Thursday or Friday night its so packed you cant get in. Overtime Sports Bar, Tidballs, and 643 are also popular spots for night life. There isnt really much underage nightlife after 10pm unless you go to parties, no bars will allow anyone under 21 in after 10pm. There is a "South Side Sober Ride" that provides rides wherever you need to go at night, and WKU also offers the " Purple Line" to get around campus and nearby apartments.

College Sophomore

Nightlife: I don't have a nightlife

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: There are always parties, but none I'm usually interested in.

College Senior

Nightlife: I really don't have time for parties I have two work all the time to make ends meet.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: Transportation to and from parties provided by the school is very convenient, but you practically have to be in a sorority or fraternity to know or be invited to a party.

Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Though academics is very important to the choice of school, nightlife is often a consideration for students. For the few who are over 21, Bowling Green has quite a few options in terms of bars and night clubs. Each student has their own favorite place, their own opinion about who has the best happy hour, or their own idea on who the best live band is of the moment.

For the rest of students who are under 21, the options are less available. There are no clubs in Bowling Green that allow in students under 21. There are many in Nashville, but that requires an hour plus of driving. There are bowling alleys and movie theaters, of course. Plus, different school organizations host events on campus. And for the more adventurous, there are usually multiple house parties to be found among the Greeks, sometimes with fun themes. While the options for nightlife can be limited, there are ways for everyone to have a good time.
