4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Downtown Bowling Green does not have a bustling scene, but the city is large enough that everyone can find something to do, and Nashville is close enough that there are things to do.

4 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: It is smaller, but big enough that it is not too fast pace.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Bowling green is not to big and not to small. It is the perfect college town. There are lots of people and we love doing on campus activities but there is also plenty to do off campus. We have a mall, music festivals, and beautiful square where many events take place, tons of restaurants with live music, SkyPac, lost river cave and many more!

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: The campus itself is very beautiful, but as for shopping and things to do off campus there is not much of an option other than food and bowling. But with that said, the people of Bowling Green are nice.

Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Bowling Green provides a great local atmosphere for students to enjoy. It really is a college town. WKU is a huge part of the community, and the people love that. The whole town has lots of WKU pride, and many businesses cater to students, offering student discounts, etc.

Many people love the small-town feel in Bowling Green, and although Bowling Green is not a large city, it still provides many things to do if the campus attractions are not enough. There are two movie theaters, a mall, a skating rink, bowling, bars, a library, parks, and much more. For those that Bowling Green does not satisfy, Nashville is just an hour away and provides even more shopping, more clubs, and many more concerts to enjoy.
