Western Connecticut State University Reviews
Smaller class sizes and a less crowded campus can often lead to more personalized attention from professors and a stronger sense of community among students. These factors can contribute positively to the overall educational experience.
Cons: The social science department needs a complete overhaul.
Replace most undergrad faculty, graduate faculty, and Chairs. IMO
Currently low quality PhDs with low reading comprehension skills. Of concern, these teachers are training others to diagnose and treat mental health issues. But if you don't have strong critical skills, you can't accurately match symptoms to diagnosis. And you can't teach that well either.
The nursing department may be strong. But a nurse for School of SS leading Social Work and Mental Health Counseling is not a good skills match today IMHO.
New faculty hires seem political, from distant states with very regressive laws.
Committees hiring faculty could do a better job assessing applicant dissertations. But there again reading comprehension may be an issue. Not all PhDs are equal.
