Campus Dining: It's campus dining - it keeps you going but not my first choice.

4 College Junior

Campus Dining: Some dining halls are good. Then there is always fast food in the lair

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: There are times in which the places that accept the meal plan provided by WVU are closed. This further limits the students dining options and thus leaves them with unhealthy options and limited ones at that.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: There is a variety of places to eat and the food is pretty good.

4 College Senior

Campus Dining: For serving the amount of students they do, I think the dining halls do a fine job. Like I said, I'm not very picky and I like the buffet style they offer.

There are certainly a lot of options available for students to use their meal plans, and the food in the dining halls is all-you-can-eat. If students grow tired of eating the same meal three or four times a week, they can hop dining halls for a change or eat at the Mountainlair. The place on campus with the best meal-plan food is the Mountainlair Food Court. Unfortunately, quantities are small, as they do not follow in the all-you-can-eat format of the other dining halls.

The food served by campus dining is not exactly the healthiest option available. They will prepare vegetarian or other special requests, but they don’t really go out of their way to provide a better choice for students who may be looking for healthier entrees. Freshmen, as well as anyone else living in dorms, are required to have a meal plan but can pick the smallest one if they feel it will be adequate for their needs. Students can also get Mountie Bounty and Dining Dollars to use at places like McCoy’s. Although there are so many options for students to choose from, there is not much satisfaction with the dining halls. Eating in the dining halls is something that is not suggested for more than a year if it can be helped. It is definitely worth the hassle to cook your own meal.

Did You Know?
You can put money on your ID called Mountie Bounty or Meals Plus. This money can be used as flex money if you run out of meals in a week, or if you go to places that don't accept a meal plan like Lyon's Den. You can also use MountieBounty at the bookstore. This can be put on by credit card or check.
