Campus Dining: Most of the meal plans offered include both block meals and meal points. The best food on campus is the most expensive. If you want to eat at these places, (i.e. Star and Crescent, WesWings, Red and Black) be prepared to plan out your points expenditure, or run out quickly.

Block meals can be used at Usdan Marketplace or at Summerfields, and the food there is not terrible by any means.

Campus Dining: I became a vegan at Wesleyan because the vegan food on campus is readily available and delicious. All the food provided at Wesleyan is very good and much better than any other campus I have heard of.

4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Plenty of places to eat around campus. Depending on their meal plans, students will prefer different cafeterias/restaurants/cafes. Food in the main dining hall ranges in quality from sub par to palatable.

4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: The dining halls are pretty good and have a lot of variety. The staff is very good about meeting special dietary needs, and Wes is the most vegan-friendly school in the country. That being said, when you get tired of the main dining hall, as a lot of people do, there's a ton of other options, from cafes to a grocery store (all of which are part of the meal plan).

5 College Freshman

Campus Dining: I love to eat at the Usdan Marketplace. They always have at least four types of food choice for you.

Wesleyan's main eatery is Usdan, which offers a wide array of food including classics (usually some kind of meat-and-potatoes offering with veggies), stir-fry, pizza, "pastabilities," cereal, make-your-own paninis, salads, and vegan and kosher stations (which are surprisingly delicious). If you're not into mainstream dining, the alternative dining hall is called Summerfields, and it's located across campus near the Butterfield dorms. Summerfields has a menu that you order off of—rather than a buffet—and is the place to go for greasy treats and, as of this year, Mexican food! Depending on your hometown's proximity to Mexico, "taqueria" at Summerfields may or may not meet your standards.

In addition to dining halls, the University has Wes Wings (for chicken tenders, burgers, salads, pita, and hummus, or really bomb mac and cheese), WesShop (overpriced but handy mini-grocery store on campus), Pi Café (daytime coffee, baked goods, sandwiches, and salads), the Usdan Café (coffee, sandwiches, and sushi), as well as Star and Crescent, the restaurant inside Alpha Delta, which is usually pretty tasty but hard to get a seat at because it's so small (first three freshmen at dinner eat free, though, which is cool). Students can also cook for themselves if they have a nice kitchen, but that probably doesn't happen until sophomore or junior years, as freshman dorm kitchens tend to be cramped and/or gross.
