If you're the type of person that likes a quiet peaceful campus, Wesleyan is for you. As an international student, the staff and faculty were warm and welcoming and the same goes for the students. The coursework is manageable but challenging and the professors are generally approachable and have some of the best insight!
I love the small class sizes but the dining hall has never been the best. If you have allergies they try to be accommodating but cross contamination does happen especially if you have gluten sensitivity or celiac disease. Campus life is engaging and there are always events to get involved in. Clubs are numerous and those events are always a lot of fun. Housing is not the greatest in the apartments and maintenance is not very timely in responses (I have had a broken couch since move in, in August and it is now the end of March).
Wesleyan College is a really great community where I have been constantly challenged by my peers and my professors. I have made some incredible friendships here and have really grown as a person. The campus is beautiful. It’s nice to be in a safe community while still having access to downtown Macon, shopping and activities. There’s also lots happening on campus all the time.
In the last year, Wesleyan has been making lots of improvements to its spaces, including new furniture and more of a focus on student spaces. They also just opened up a new space downtown. I’m really excited to see what else is in store for this school.
