4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Since the school is small, everything and everyone is close-knit.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: There are many internships and work studies available.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: There is so much diversity on campus. There a girls from all over the world, with different heritage, race, religion, and political views.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Wesleyan is a sisterhood. We all support each other. We all encourage each other.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Since we are in Georgia, mostly everyone has southern charm. There are a few different cultural events per year such as the Pan-African festival, Greek festival, Renaissance festival, and the lovely Bragg Jam, which includes a great array of fun mini concerts. There are two shopping malls and a few other places to shop.

Academics: I feel our curriculum is challenging which is good, however there are many teachers who are full of themselves. When you try to talk to teachers about your grades they do not listen. Many teachers try to integrate internet tests and activities, and not try to fix the problem when it fails to work. Finding financial aid is very difficult, and the workload is a lot. We have tutoring by other students, but it does not always help. The popular study areas would be the lounges, library, and spots outside.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I love my classes for my major. My teachers are extremely helpful and nice. Many students will have it way easier when they declare a major.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: There are many things to do, but after awhile doing the same things over and over again get boring. Mercer's sports are good and fun to go watch. However if you want to see professional sports you have to drive two hours for that. There are many different activities to do, and the community outside of Wesleyan is prettys supportive of us also.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: It is cheaper to live off campus than living on campus. However, there are many parts that are dangerous to live, due to violence and gang activity.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: Everyone accepts students as they are, and there are no incidents of mistreatment. It is a real diverse campus and it lets you experience different cultures and personalities. Overall this is what makes it a great school.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: It is not the best but it is not the worst. I feel we need more of security presence on our campus. I feel we need more lighting when we're walking back from night classes, and I feel that is a very serious issue that has not been addressed. Anyone can access to our campus, so I think we need more surveillance. I had to go to the police office to report a crime, and the T.V. was so loud that they could not hear me knocking on the door. I feel our security should definitely be addressed.

Campus Housing: The dorms on our campus are really small. We have no space, and the buildings are old so it has a weird smell. The janitors are rude and it sometimes looks like they do not even clean. The public showers are gross and flood easily. The hot water takes a long time to come in the winter. There is no heating in the bathrooms during the winter, so you freeze. The cost of the dorms is way too high for the low quality we get. However, I had great people on my hall so I had a lot of fun,

Facilities: Our athletic center is very nice, and the library is extremely amazing. The one thing I would say about our campus is they need to change our soccer field and gym. On another note, our campus is beautiful and there is a lot of wildlife that run around our campus. Our school has an academic center, tutoring, and lounges to hang out with your friends in.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: I think what sets us apart is how diverse we are. We have so many women from different countries and it is nice to get to know their backgrounds and their cultures. What sets us apart is we are a school founded on sisterhood, and that is still carried with us today. Since it is a small campus we create bonds with people, and it becomes lifetime friendships. That is the indelible moments you want.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: I currently am a soccer player for Wesleyan. The sports facilities are nice, but it seems sports does not get a lot of money. Soccer, Volleyball, and equestrian are the three main sports that doing well in their conference. Our school does not offer scholarship money which I think should change, and also we need better recruits for other sports. Some coaches play favorites, and I think that is unacceptable. It should be based on ones talent. The students come to games mostly when it is the weekends, because many students are busy with school work on the weekdays. However, when our school shows up for our game it is really incredible the school spirit that is shown. We have many community members who donate a lot to our programs, so that goes to show we have community support also.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: The college is an all girls school, and there are many lesbian couples. At Wesleyan we are a community, and we all accept whatever you are. If you look around Wesleyan we are extremely diverse, and we all have different styles. There are many students from around the world who bring their personalities to Wesleyan, and American students get to experience different lifestyles. It is a small campus so we all see each other often. Our sports are supported, and it is a good school to make lifetime friends.

Campus Dining: At Wesleyan College we have very little options, and we do not have a good health section. The cups and plates always have food or something unknown on them. The fountain drinks do not get refilled when suppose too, and you have to wait forever when the dining hall runs out of cups. The dining staff does not care, and it is not as sanitary as it should be.

5 College Senior

Guys & Girls: Everyone is very beautiful, I think; almost everyone is a part of something. All the students are nice, fun, easy-to-talk-to people. There are lots of people with the same interest as me so I'm sure I'll make lots of new friends.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Overall, Wesleyan College is a great school to attend. It has a rigorous academic track, the community is very welcoming, leadership is strongly encouraged, and sisterhood is essential component of a Wesleyanne's lifestyle. Here you are given the opportunity to achieve past your goals, meet women that can greatly impact your life for years to come, and enjoy an unique experience. I can honestly say, I love Wesleyan. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn't choose Wesleyan due to its expensive tuition. However, I would give up my experience for anything in the world.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: For the reason that this is a women's institution, no one really cares what you wear. However, I prefer that you look decent, meaning that your hygiene should be up to part and that you have on clothes (not including pajamas). Wesleyan is a diverse collegiate school. Hence, there are a variety of styles, personalities, interests are that are shared on campus. Regardless of who you are, you will never be isolated from a community or forgotten. Wesleyannes look out for each other, which is something we call "sisterhood".

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are many restaurants near Wesleyan College.

College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Recently, Wesleyan has established an Alcohol Policy found in the Wesleyan Student Handbook. Only persons 21 and older are permitted to consume alcohol on campus. Additionally, all students and faculty must comply with the Georgia laws and Wesleyan College Policies.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: Each department area requires the same requirements, which are time, effort, and workload. The only difference would be the the type of assignments, research studies, and performances that would be completed.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: Over and over, you will hear that Wesleyan provides an atmosphere that encourages diversity. This is true. Being in a diverse area opens up your perspective in many ways. It'll bring you to a realization that everybody literally inhabits a different lifestyle. With some people, you may share similar features such as living in a single household or being born in the same country. In your professional life, this environment prepares you to interact with people from various parts of the world in many different career areas.

Majors: It's okay to not know what you're major is going to be. However, by your sophomore year, you must choose a major. Getting into a program of your choice is not difficult, but it requires a lot of time and effort to pursue your choice.

There is nothing more incredible than being surrounded by intelligent women from all over the world and feeling like you are all one, giant family. The sisterhood at Wesleyan College is unique to the women that make up our community and creates a bond that lasts a lifetime. Regardless of how involved some women are in sisterhood activities, at the end of the day, there is a sense of unity that is felt among students, as well as the alumnae. Wesleyan’s greatest asset is the student body because each individual possesses a special character that embodies the school’s ideals. Every peer has strong aspirations and an even greater appetite for success. It is this quality that allows professors to challenge students on an intellectual and personal level. Over a four-year period, Wesleyannes (Wesleyan students) cover academic material from all areas of study and simultaneously surpass the standards of their own degree. Although some programs are better structured in preparing students for certain careers over others, the faculty and staff work hard to ensure that all students will be highly successful in their field of work.

While a few aspects are disappointing, many students cannot imagine being anywhere else. Everything about the school has the students' best interests in mind, and the faculty and staff make an impact on your experience. Wesleyannes take full advantage of internship programs, networking opportunities, and interdisciplinary research where they can acquire skills necessary to excel in graduate school and their career. The community seems out of place in Macon, but that is because the Wesleyan College experience is unlike any other.
