3 College Senior

Campus Resources: The internet runs fairly fast, quiet environment your just on your own!

4 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is fair, I just think the school could use a few adjustments. I get a decent .amount of financial aid

3 College Senior

Career Services: I've had trouble with getting information and also help with classes and other at my current school but it was all worth it,i have many great professors!

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I do not mind attending this school. I have had some very beneficial instructors as well as some awful ones. But the good outweighs the bad. I am not high maintenance. I love the affordability and that is why I chose this school.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is cheap and very affordable for all. That is the main reason I am going here.

3 College Junior

Facilities: The best thing about my school is the affordability of my classes and the location of the campus.

1 College Junior

Online Courses: My online professor is absolutely awful. I have had many problems with him. He never responds to emails or questions posted on the website. He is extremely unclear with his instructions and some of the dates are set to over a year ago. Pure laziness.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: There is not a large variety of history classes that are available to take.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: The curriculum can sometimes be too light, a lot of it is stuff I have already learned in high school. I already attended high school so I want to learn new things. I am paying for it, after all.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Some of my professors are horrible about getting back to you in an email or being clear in class. If that happens, I tend to drop the class and register for one with a better professor.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: We do have a library but it is small and I never use it nor am I interested in using it. I would rather go to my local library.

2 College Junior

Campus Resources: There is rarely nice wifi connection which makes it impossible to study/do homework in between classes. There is literally always a problem when it comes to internet connection.

Student Body: Wayne County Community College Downriver is definitely a mixing pot. It is extremely diverse and I do appreciate that factor of the school. However, I do not find the student body particularly driven. Most show up to the first couple of classes, skip almost the entire semester, then show up for the final exam. There is a lot of coasting that goes on. This can sometimes be discouraging for me because I am one of the only students putting forth effort. But I do not let it get to me too much to the point that it is affecting my school work.

College Junior

Online Courses: I never did any online courses, so I can't give an opinion on them.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: There are a few classes that get filled out really quick, so you have to sign up really fast or you get in the classroom at all. On the bright side, there are options on time tables on a lot of classes.

5 College Junior

Student Body: As far as I can tell, there isn't any racism or anything going on. There's also a lot of diversity at the school, like a little of everything goes here.

College Junior

Career Services: I haven't really looked in that area just yet, so I can't really give out an opinion.

4 College Junior

Facilities: The other students are really friendly to each other. There isn't a lot of bullying from what I've seen, and we make new friends on a daily basis.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: The facilities could be cleaned more often, but they're functional.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: There are half of the teachers who really don't care about you or what you do, but they still pile a homework load on you. Then there's the other half of the teachers that actually care about you as a person and a student who try to help you. Plus, they even encourage you to go farther in your dreams than what you tell them. An example of each, my current Sociology teacher, after I asked her what the homework was on, asked me in front of the class if I spoke English. That was a bad teacher who I can't drop because her class is the only one who fits in my schedule. An example of a good teacher was my first semester Biology teacher who told me that, since I was so smart, that I should seriously consider for a BSN instead of the RN I had originally set my goals on. Basically, when you pick a class, you flip a coin.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I'm not able to receive financial aid. The reason as the office tells me is that I'm too well off. I am not too well off, I need financial aid so I can pay for classes and books. Even when I tried to get help, the office people didn't even try.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I have had no major problems or issues

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I have made some very good friends and I am getting a good education along the way

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: They were very open and free to offer me a Financial Aid plan that was very good for me
