Career Services: Always Helpful – Although i dont have an individual person dedicated to me everytime i have called they are able to get up to speed on my education and assist me.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Take Care of Buisiness – Its very important to stay on top of financial aid. If you are not on top of what they are asking for then they will be delayed in providing the services you need.

Overall Experience: Very Happy With My Choice – The school has done a great job of helping me become more focused as a scholar and enhancing my critical thinking and analysis skills. The one area I wish they provided more emphasis on was the particular research method, as only three quarters (quantitative, qualitative, and then either as an advanced course or mixed methods) is not enough to attain full fluency.

Academic Experience: Solid Classes, but Self-Driven – The experience is mostly student driven through self-study of provided resources. You definitely have to put the time in to excel. However most faculty are responsive and well established as scholar-practitioners.

College Junior

Campus Resources: Online Only (Excepting Residencies) – The school is online only, but has good online resources. The website and student areas are generally navigable. Residencies are generally held in relatively nice venues, such as school campuses or hotel conference rooms.

4 College Junior

Student Body: Dedicated Students – The students are mostly all full time employees and the average age is around the late forties. However this helps them provide useful and relevant insights into practice and policy, whereas many younger students lack the practical experience. They are often seeking their education to transition into teaching or to further their careers within their field.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Solid Value – The education is well worth the money. As with any institution, staff quality varies, but most have been very good. Financial aid office was friendly and courteous but not pushy. They recommended taking out what was needed and maybe a little bit more but did not push students to take out excessive loans.

Academic Experience: Walden want to see you successful therfore you are set up for success.

4 College Junior

Career Services: This Thing – I see some advertising about career services but I have yet to use them.

Student Body: Accounting Major – want to get the most out of the school that it offers

Overall Experience: My overall experience rating is a B+ because sometimes the professors aren't always accessible and they take 14 days before responding to email and assignments.

College Senior

Career Services: Post Grade Services – I haven't graduated, but have heard they will assist you in finding a job.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: Computer Network – Its totally online and I've never had problems with logging in and out.

Campus Resources: Academic Programs – Walden has a variety of acadmic programs to meet everyone's needs.

Overall Experience: Glad to Be in School – I like my school. I don't have that typical college `pride' in it like other people have but I like Walden

Campus Resources: Computer Issues – There really are no computer issues with Walden U.

Career Services: Could Have Been Better. I will be graduating in the spring and I would have liked to be receiving emails about future career advice throughout this program. This would have given me the opportunity to look ahead and make wise decisions for my future. I am very thankful because they offer the center to the students.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Very Well Worth It. The Walden team has given excellent support and guidance for financial help. The career path depends on my future finances and I know it will be worth the hard work and dedication in the end. I wish a website for Walden was listed just for extra resources to be used.

Campus Resources: Walden has it all!! I have never had a problem with finding help or guidance. If I have a question, the staff or online website is a great resource to use.

5 College Junior

Online Courses: I love the flexibility and the ability to log in to my class 24/7. The coursework can be a bit challenging and overwhelming but it is manageable. Time management, constant communication with your professor, and keeping up with the discussions and assigned readings are the key to a successful online experience.

Student Body: While the doctoral learners in my classes have been diverse from a ethnicity and geography standpoint, I have occasionally been disappointed by the writing skills. At this point, we should be utilizing the writing services more often if we know that writing is not our strong suit. Discussions in the classroom vary based on the skill level of the group, and group projects are much like in high school -- I've always been in a group where someone wasn't pulling their weight. (Luckily, I've not had to deal with too many group projects.) Many learners work full-time, have families, and are juggling as best as they can.

Campus Resources: Online = More Convenience! I regularly use the online library resources and am amazed at the access and content available. The librarians are extremely helpful and responsive, and regularly hold webinars regarding various library services.

Academic Flexibility: Overall = Good – I am almost at the dissertation process, and about 99% of the faculty I've encountered are accommodating. All of my expected credits transferred as promised, and the enrollment process was fairly quick. My recruiter was helpful, funny, and understanding, and was able to answer my questions with ease. Some of the course templates need a little work, but Walden is always making improvements. All but two of my professors have been excellent about submitting timely feedback (within a week), and all but one was fantastic about responding to e-mails. The cost is high, but it is worth it for the ease of completing a degree from wherever you wish ... home, coffee shop, Waikiki Beach, baseball game, you name it!
