Campus Resources: My graduate program is completely online. Therefore, my resources were all at home.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aide office was always helpful with any question I had and was timely with disbursements. Clear communication of when to expect disbursements was done every time.

Online Courses: Once you get into the classes and participate in all the discussion, submissions and interaction with faculty and students it is much easier than you would think. The fact that there is no commute to and from the university is a bonus for the hidden financial cost associated with a traditional college like commuting fees and parking.

As far as the workload, I thought that it was going to be much easier, but it was actually a challenge especially with the writing and APA requirement. The registration process was already set up for me excpet for registering for my residencies, practicum and internships. However, if I needed to request a change due to my personal and work load requirements it was very easy for me to gain advise from my faculty and advisor.

I found that the more your interacted with the professors and students, the better your experience you will have. This interaction is done via networking rather than face to face, so the biggest challenge for me was to pay attention to the wording and underlying tone of voice in your written submissions.

Academic Flexibility: I chose this school primarily because I needed an online school where I that was CACREP accredited and met all the requirements for the NCC board and Montana state board for professional counselors. I am able to work full or part time and work both my personal and work schedules around my classes. I attended another graduate school before coming to Walden University and I did complete my other Masters program and but alot of my credits did not transfer; in fact only 9 creits transferred, which is a real disapointment as I thought that more would.

The convience and flexibility of Walden University is worth the time, the effort and the cost of program I feel though.

Tuition & Financial Aid: First of all; I am a graduate student seeking my second Masters degree and upon enrolling at Walden University, I have found out that I have exhausted all but enough federally funded financial aid to cover only my first year at Walden University. As of the summer term 2014, I will have to privately pay, obtain private loans, or obtain scholarships to pay for the remainder 3 years of my schooling at Walden University.

The financial aid process has been very slow and the questions that I have submitted to the financial aid office at Walden University were not answered in full, but rather they simply sent me links to private loan options and my credit has already been denied by all of the banks.

I like and feel that the education so far at Walden is worth the price even though it is high, but one of my concerns is that I have two residencies, a practicum, and an internship as part of my program and according the financial aid office, financial aid does not cover those costs as well as my books and supplies are not covered by financial aide either. As well as since I have exahuasted all of my federally funded financial aide, I am not sure what I am going to do to pay for the remainder years in this program.

Campus Resources: Everything that I would need for a class is sent to me or made available along with instruction and contact numbers.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The cost to attend Walden is expensive but the education that you receive is worth evry penny that they charge. Yes it is expensive.

Online Courses: When I first started taking online courses I was very uncomfortable because I was accustom to a traditional classroom setting. As I continued to take classes the atmosphere changed and now I enjoy online classes. I run into a few bumps but there is someone or something that I can do to help solve the problem. There is one thing that I definetly enjoy and that is now waiting in line to register.

Campus Resources: The university is online, and the technical capabilities are very appropriate for my learning abilities. The networking amongst faculty and students would be phenomenal and beneficial for my learning experience.

Academic Flexibility: My experience with the classes and courses has been very positive. If I needed assistance with which course to enroll, I contacted my academic advisor, who was more then happy to assist me.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition and financial aid process is fairly self explanatory, however, the tuition can be quite expensive depending on the credits and courses one needs to fulfill to complete their program.

Career Services: During this challenging time as I progress through my degree, I was becoming overwhelmed about the amount of student loans I had accumulated to earn my degree. I contacted two faculty members who would strive to assist me with my concerns. Both responses led to productive results for me to better myself for the educational/teaching level. I increased my experience with online learning on my resume, and obtained the opportunity to receive a graduate assistantship position for the university. Talk about having the students best interest at heart!!!! This university not only strives hard to educate the students, but ensure they assist with career services also!!

Academic Flexibility: I submitted my transcripts with my initial application to Walden. When I accepted my spot at the school, my credits were automatically transferred and applied to the appropriate GE's, with no actions on my end. Very easy!

Your degree progress report is available 24/7 from Walden and is always up to date. It is helpful for planning classes out. I have only take one GE at Walden, as I started straight into my upper division classes as soon as I transferred here, but I have not had a problem getting into a single class in a year and a half. The upper division classes can be taken in almost any order - most do not have pre-requisites beyond lower division classes, which is nice.

I added a concentration to my major and have found it simple to work the two together. There is no order I am forced to take the classes in, so I plan them depending on my schedule outside of school and all has been hassle-free thus far.

Overall, I am very please with the academic flexibility at Walden.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Having studied at a traditional public university and an online university, I have to admit that it is frustrating not to be able to walk into a financial aid office and sit with someone face-to-face until all financial aid issues are worked out.
While Walden's online portal is easily accessible and often helpful, accessibility to live financial aid officers is limited to weekdays during normal work hours. Most students at Walden are full-time employees as well, making it very difficult to spend an hour on the phone trying to speak with someone.
Financial aid itself is not bad, and tuition is average compared to any private school, but accessibility of a live person to help with administrative financial issues is very low.

Academic Experience: As a public health major, the availability of different concentrations was a big draw for me. The professors are also great in this major. They are all very involved in public health programs and/or giving back to the community outside of academia. It is encouraging to see their success in the field and experience an array of possible careers via interactions with professors.

Academic Experience: I completed almost all of my GE's at UCLA. I expected the "upper division" classes in the public health major to be more challenging. While I can choose to push myself above and beyond the basic class requirements to learn more from each class, I am not as stimulated by class interactions/discussions as I hoped to be.

My curriculum does cover all aspects of public health and my concentration that are necessary to prepare me for graduate school.

Career Services: I am still an undergrad but it is already clear that the alumni network is strong. My negative is that Walden U is an online school, and almost all faculty have online graduate degrees. While this is irrelevant to their teaching abilities, it does limit they help they can give toward getting into a normal campus-based graduate school.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I suppose the fees are average of what it costs for an education. The financial Aid department has worked with me well and reminded and updated me as to all the forms and procedures I needed.

Academic Experience: Studying here at Walden University has been a great experience. There is great information that will pertain to what I want to continue in my career. Online school has been most beneficial for me because I can study at my pace and at the hours that I need. I have a family and a job to attend to. I think it is a great experience.

Student Body: Students that I meet on line seem to have great goals and integrity. Everyone is heard.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: Everything is at my fingertips. Administrations and professors communicate and respond in timely manner..

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: I attend online school and love it for the flexibility, integrity and convince so that I can get my education.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I feel they are very flexible. You are able to complete the classwork on your own availability, but is still very demanding.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: I am a part of an on-line school, so my interaction with everyone is by phone, e-mail, or discussion forum. The Psychology team (students and staff) seem to be very dedicated to each other. It does not feel as if you are on your own when you are trying to complete school. Walden University realizes the diverse life challenges that many of their students face. I am a mother with bills to pay and sometimes run into challenges with time and energy. Logging on to Walden and talking to my classmates and staff gives me that extra push to move forward and know that I am doing this to better the future for myself and my children.

4 College Senior

Student Body: Keep in mind I attend an on-line school. Therefore, this is one that is rather hard to answer. Unless the student discusses it in chat or the discussion questions, it is hard to see/know the differences. I do, though, enjoy when others do share their experiences in life, what got them to come back to school, and the direction in which they are going. With that, I think that it helps other students by knowing someone else may not have the same issues going on, but they have a team of students that want them to succeed. This is the most supportive institution I have ever seen. There are many times that I have consulted other students about not understanding something, and they have pulled together (putting aside their personal schedules) to help out. The professors have also impressed me in that manner. There has never been a time in which the professors have let me down by not helping me understand the material to the best of my abilities.
