Simply put, Wake Forest's campus is beautiful, and the University makes great strides to keep it this way. The facilities that are strewn across the manicured campus are also well-maintained. The academic buildings help to add to the intimate academic experience, and they are all very well-equipped with technology. The library is spacious and even has a Starbucks inside of it for a late-night snack or caffeine crisis.
Probably the biggest complaints about Wake's facilities revolve around the student center and athletic center. The student center, Benson University Center, is not a true student center in that it is not the central hub of student activities. It is more of a hybrid between student life offices and student organization office space. The administration is aware of this, and the creation of a new social space called "The Barn" is underway. The athletics facilities are clean and well-kept but just too small for a school like Wake Forest where students are active. Reynolds Gym in particular is in need of renovation. Luckily, there are talks for the athletic facilities to be updated, but until then Wake students will have to make do or join one of the numerous gyms in Winston-Salem.
