Drug Safety: Drugs aren't usually a problem here, but if you fail a drug test you're out.

5 College Senior

Drug Safety: You are drug tested randomly so don't do it.

Drug Safety: Kept Informed and Regulated – At VMI, we are a DRY campus. Of course, there are people that sneak alcohol on post, but if caught, there is a HUGE penalty that no one wants. There is even a mandatory PE class that must be taken to graduate called Drug and Alcohol that informs you of the hazards caused by these substances. If you are of age and want to go out in town to drink, there are plenty of places to go to have a fun time every once in a while. There is a random drug test every week for anyone in the corps, which keeps most students from doing any.

Drug Safety: Drugs? What Drugs? VMI has a very, VERY strict no drugs policy and it's, usually, handled quickly with no second chances. However, this doesn't mean that, if you really want to, a fairly strong drug culture can't be found. It's mostly found far from post, but it does exist.

Drug Safety: I've only heard of a few cases of drug use at VMI, and those involved were rapidly discovered and dismissed. There is very little in the way of a "counter culture" at VMI, take that for what you will.
