Online Courses at Virginia College - Spartanburg: I am one that actually prefers to be sitting in a class room opposed to taking an online course. Online doesn't suit my style of learning personally. It may be great for others but its not the right thing for me. The workload isn't too bad at all, it's the interaction that in need from a classroom setting. Registration was very easy our staff and instructors at the school work hard to make everything in that manner as easy as possible.

Overall Experience at Virginia College - Spartanburg: We have a lot of students that get hired from their extern site, our Career Services go out and make many connections with buisnesses to help with extern sites and job placement. They work very hard to help us.

Overall Experience at Virginia College - Spartanburg: Our classes are generally around 10-20 people depending on circumstances. Most of the professors though are very geared in helping you be successful. Some are the best teachers you could ever ask for. They may be seen as strict but you know your stuff when you are finished with the course. We have some of the best faculty/ instructors that you could ask for. You get your bad apple from time to time but it gets sorted out.

Student Body at Virginia College - Spartanburg: We have a lot of diverse people ranging from age to ethnic backrounds. In regards to that we all generally get along and try to help one another. We have many that strive to see other students succeed even though we may be competing for the same job in the future. Most of us help and push eachother to get through when we struggle. We have a lot of students that are working 3rd shift jobs, coming to school, and trying to raise their families. We all need a little help from time to time to keep pushing, but we push eachother because we care a lot about one another and make friends for life before graduation. Every school in my opinion has those few who bring a negative attitude to the environment but they usually don't last long. My guess is that they are just not geared in the right direction even though there is help offered.

Academic Flexibility at Virginia College - Spartanburg: In general, the school is very flexible. They offer day and night classes to accomodate students. They work with your schedule and classes on times and days. The only issue I have run into with schedule conflict is I had to take my Psychology class online because the time it was offered was during the time I needed to be in another class and they offered one at night but was a conflict with my home life schedule. We were also short on intructors that could teach Pyschology. On a further note though our school does offer a program in which you may take 4 classes in a term instead of 3 and recieve the 4th class free. I took advantage of that during one term.

Academic Experience at Virginia College - Spartanburg: The school overall is wonderful. We have many instructors that do what ever they can to help you be successful in that course and in your overall education. We have a library and a Learning Success Center (LSC) which have the best staff that anyone could ask for. If anyone has ever needed any help they do anything and everything to help you in whatever ways they can. For example the LSC, if you need turtoring they will go and find an instructor to pair you up with to get they extra help you need. They also try to help students that are having a difficult time getting to school find a person to pair up with to get a ride to school, which is our ride share program. We also have many societies at our school for students to be apart of. Many students hold study group sessions to help others. I think some of our top classes are our Medical Law and Ethics and Career Exploration aside from your core classes such as my Clinical classes.

Academic Experience at Virginia College - Spartanburg: At the school I attend, the Medical Assisting Program is one of the biggest programs in the school. We have wonderful teachers that make sure you know what you need to know and have great compassioin for helping you succeed. The workload at times can be overwhelming but that is probably with any school. The internship process is probably one of the best! They pair you up with a site that you would possibly want to work in upon graduation. They also do their best to pair you up with a site that matches your personality. We have many students that are actually hired by their extern site after the students complete their exams.
