Student Body: My school consist of a variety of students: high school graduates, working class people, retired people(looking to start a second career).
What I have found since attending Virginia College, is that for the most part, the students are real serious about their education and succeeding. I mean you have a few of the younger students still acting like they're in high school, so us older ones try to take them under our wings and mold them into better students. It works for some, those who want to succeed. There is a diverse background at Virginia College.

Campus Resources: The computer network isn't really up to date like it should be. Some days the computers act as if they have a mind of their own, meaning their liable to shut off at any given time so saving your work promptly is something students should consider.

Campus Resources: Virgnia College has a car pool program that can help students get back and fourth to school. I needed some help purchasing a car and was having financial problems. Career services helped me thru all that.

Career Services: Virginia College gives academic advisements every semester to show when your projected graduated date is and what classes you will need to take to get there in time. So the post-grad services offered here at Virginia College is an great idea.

Campus Resources: This facility is a bit small. The classrooms are a bit crowded. The libarary is small and only have about eight computers. But we have something called the LSC where there are at least 20 more computers students can use if needed. The student lounge is equiped with vending machines, and a coffee machine, but it is located right by the smoking area.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Explain Tution – Im glad im able to continue my eduation, to be able to work in a growing and indemand field, bit i feel my financial advisor was so excited to get me enrolled that he didnt take much time really explaining the fees and grants and loans, i filled out alot of paperwork and at the end he says congradulations your enrolled and i was alittle confused, i had to ask him my financial aid went through and he was like yes, and then walked me back to my admissions advisor and said ill contact you if i should need and documents from you. Not what i call good explaination skills.

Campus Resources: My school has students wear scrubs, which they provide you and color is determined by your degree or program. I think it makes everyone focus better on classwork and class interaction is better, instead of looking or being concerned with what the next person is wearing, example:(shoes, sneakers, tight jeans, name brands, etc). This was/is a great idea!!!

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is kind of high, but worth the struggle to pay for it. The financial aid progress was really quick and they always treat you like a person and not just a seat to be filled. The hardest part is getting an emergency loan for gas.

Campus Resources: Computer Network Summary – The computer labs are great. The availabilty of the computers and access to printing on campus is wonderful. As a student with limited income; they allow us to print for free. It does not matter how many pages we have to print for class or research.
