College Senior

Career Services: I am still currently attending and am unaware of how good their post grad services are as of this moment.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: There is a gym, both for sports and physical exercises, a few outside sports area including a tennis court. There is a pool, and even dance studios for those so inclined. A performance art center and gallery for artists. and many other facilities for extra curricular activities.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: The classes available are variable, from any time of day and even being online. So they are really trying to work with any life schedule a person may have.

College Senior

Academic Experience: There is no anthropology specific course path for me at this school, I am here merely for my Associates at the moment.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: There is a very wide variety of classes and professors for students at this college.

3 College Senior

Student Body: The students are very kind, as well as behave in a professional manor. They are very creative and hold many interesting and new fairs and shows for the student body.

4 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Honestly, for instate tuition Valencia College is a great school. It's pretty easy to receive the financial aid and pay for everything through it.

3 College Senior

Online Courses: They aren't the worst, but as with any online course you certainly can feel the disconnect for sociability. Teachers also don't feel as though the care very much about what happens to students who take their online courses.

3 College Junior

Online Courses: I haven't really took any online courses, also I rather be in the classroom than online because that's where I shine more, and also learn more.

2 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial process is so bad, they should tell you all the fees your getting out, when you talk to advisors there, the amount I'm paying is definitely not top education level, but I working hard to transfer out when I get my associate's degree.

4 College Junior

Student Body: It's absolutely great because I met many people here, some people just walked up to me and started to chat with me, I never really experienced that before so it was great to meet new people.

2 College Junior

Overall Experience: The teaching quality of some professors are not in some great standards, the methods could better if the professor didn't go off topic talking about his life all the time, outside the classroom that doesn't even relate to the class.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I believe it's okay, but for a freshman as myself I take the career services into myself, looking for jobs and also internships for myself.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I'm Trying to get into a internship now, but as in this school you need 12+ plus credit hours, I'm a freshman and its my first semester, so I'm taking this into my own hands looking for one myself, basically networking.

2 College Junior

Academic Experience: The professor ask you to buy a certain book for the class, and it's not even needed, it's so bad because I could have save a lot of money. I really think that the professors are some-what rude to some students including myself, and not understanding of certain situations the students my inquire outside of the class room, basically attendance wise. if something important came up.

2 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: The Financial aid process is so bad, they give you the wrong dates, when the disbursement date, it's also hard to get work-study jobs here for low income students as myself, I'm really looking for scholarships now and paid internships now. Overall I can't wait to transfer my credits to a Bigger University.

3 College Junior

Career Services: The college has a great career center, they give you advice about which careers would be a best fit for you, but as a person like me I know what career I already want to pursue.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: It's ok, my Campus has many clubs you can join in, but not enough sports to join in.

4 College Senior

Student Body: Students are socially available if we need help to find classrooms or tutoring in some hard courses.

5 College Senior

Online Courses: First online class I ever took in my life started with English comp 1 and I absolutely loved it! I was scared in the beginning because I didn't want to fail but it wasn't as hard as I imagined it would be and it has give me more confidence in the future to take other online courses.

2 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: I had/have such a bad experience with financial aid. I just moved to the area months before applying and applying as a resident has been the worse since the people who help out with this process never explained that you have to be living in the state a year prior

4 College Freshman

Career Services: You can transfer to another school after graduating and pursuing careers faster

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: My overall experience at Valencia has been rewarding, I have met new people, made friends, and learned many things that will help me and life and with my career path. The professors are great and I wouldn't mind doing it all over again. Valencia is college that I needed to attend at this time of being a first time college student, it showed me the value I need to place for my future career and for myself.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: My experience at Valencia has been rather steady. I would love to transfer to a college with much more excitement with the student body. I would like to transfer to a college out of state. The flexibility with my classes and balancing work has gone well throughout the semesters, and I have a small amount of hassles with anything while at Valencia.

3 College Senior

Student Body: The student body is okay. I have actually met a few outgoing and friendly people in the classroom, and some I am following on Instagram. But, besides that everyone seems to me in their own little world and just trying to get to class, finish and go home. I would like for there to be more excitement with the student body because that produces positive vibes within in everyone.

To some, Valencia is an opportunity to grow academically, but to others it’s a place to relax and explore the academic world without any pressure from fellow classmates and professors. Valencia Community College is open to the overachievers and to the slackers. Most students remain at Valencia well beyond the two years required to complete the associate degree.

Valencia Community College is a small academic community that takes great pride in its students. It has well over 100 clubs and extracurricular activities. Many nationalities and ethnic groups are represented on campus. Furthermore, Valencia spares no expense; the school brings in speakers, philanthropists, and experts in various fields year-round to discuss various topics with students.

For those who are concerned about their environment, the school has great security on campus. Police are present, aware, and ready to help. Valencia will help you every step of the way, from enrollment to graduation and beyond. On any given day, you will hear of and see alums walking the many Valencia campuses, talking to current students about life beyond college. Valencia is truly a great place to start.
