Local Atmosphere: There is no public transportation system and there needs to be. The main mall has few nice stores. There are not any major crimes really such as murder; only small robberies, store thefts and drug related crimes typically. There are not really any events about culture, but you can see a big divide amongst races at times. Football is a big deal in Valdosta too.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: It is a thriving town known as title town. This is because the college, high school and middle school all hold some type of sports championship title. There are plenty of stores all over the place and lots of restaurant options. Students get some type of discount at almost every location around which is fantastic for us broke college students. The University is located literally five minutes away from downtown- the most gorgeous part of town. The atmosphere is Valdosta is very lively.
