4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: I never heard of any administrative issues. They are involved in a positive, safety way.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: People are going to drink in college wether they are underage or not, the police approach is to make sure everyone is safe, not to go around busting people for fun.

College Freshman

Campus Strictness: From what I have noticed, it's truly a system where there is a good amount of leniency given so when there is a situation that requires police intervention, they will respond with moderately strict legal action.

2 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: If there was more of a crackdown on alcohol and drug use and visitors in the dorms, I feel like I would have had a more positive experience. If people knew it was unacceptable to drink and use drugs in the dorms and were penalized heavily for it (instead of just a write up) then maybe the dorms would be a more positive place to be.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: There are some things that students can get away with easily as long as they are being safe

Campus Police tend to have a relaxed reign over the student population. As a result, there isn't a sense of strictness on campus. Bar and house parties are the most common places police will be interacting with students. Campus Police will come down on underage drinking and the use of fake IDs. Apart from that, though, students feel free and able to do what they choose.

As long as you use some amount of common sense or discretion, you really won't have any problems with Campus Police or strictness. However, those who decide to drink underage at a loud party will run the chance of getting busted and then fined. Similarly, if you're caught using a fake ID, consequences await you. In terms of academics, the campus is rigid. They follow the `zero tolerance' rule that only allows you one act of academic dishonesty. After being caught, you are expelled, and the offense stays on your academic record. Weigh every option and the potential consequences before deciding to do something potentially illegal.
