3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: I would definitely rate the dining better if it had a Chipotle or a KFC to spice things up. We have the same old McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, etc. but nothing that sticks out. There are some nice restaurants close to campus that offer vegan and vegetarian courses however they aren't what I would consider "cheap".

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Large amount of places right up the road. Requires a car to get there during the winter though.

Off-Campus Dining: Menomonie is a very small town so the off campus dining choices are not very good. We do have a few nice places to go to but they are few and far between.

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of really good dining options. I suggest water front and log jam, best food in menomonie

Off-Campus Dining: The town has a lot of healthy options for people. They have a few co-ops and gardens to grow your own food. For such healthy food the prices are very reasonable. There are a few burger joints as well with affordable prices.

Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Menomonie has all of the food a college student craves—fast food, bar food, classy food, healthy food, and college food. Many establishments, including the local favorites, are within walking distance from campus. Some of the chains and fast food options are located in north Menomonie, a 5-to-10-minute drive uptown. The pricing is within a college student's budget. If Menomonie is missing anything, it would be a good ol' breakfast place within walking distance from campus, as well as a Thai food restaurant.

The six places not to miss would be Jeff's Pizza Shop, Zanzibar, Legacy Chocolates, Acoustic Café, and the Raw Deal. Consider this your checklist of food to eat before you leave Stout. You can get grocery items at a few places in Menomonie. Walmart is the cheapest, but with a limited selection. Marketplace Foods is the fanciest with the best quality.
