3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Not interested in any of it. Don't really care about it.

3 College Student

Greek Life: Greeks throw huge parties which usually only freshman go to. Their houses are dirty and kinda run down in the areas that the parties take place. Fun if it's your last resort..

2 College Junior

Greek Life: Greek life isn't really big here but the people who are in the greek system seem to like it. Seeing Greek systems at other schools makes Stout Greek system look pretty bad.

4 College Freshman

Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Greek organizations are not a huge part of campus life, unlike what you see on larger campuses, but they do exist. Only a few of the organizations have houses, all of which are off campus.

You will find the Greeks very visible during large campus events such as Homecoming and Family Weekend. As members of the Greek community, sisters and brothers typically raise money for charities, do service projects, play intramural sports, party, and attend Greek study nights in the library. Students involved in Greek organizations enjoy the sense of family and camaraderie one typically receives by joining. The Greeks are involved in many service projects throughout the year; however, most students at Stout think the Greeks are more interested in partying. Greek organizations have been disciplined by the University in recent years for misconduct. Due to this fact, the Greek system at Stout is not highly respected by the campus community.
