4 College Sophomore

Facilities: We are a public art school, without the numbers. You don't have to spend a fortune to go here, yet you still get an amazing education in the arts. Other private schools charge much more for what is offered at stout

3 College Freshman

Facilities: The fitness center is small, library is nice and spacious, student center is newly renovated, lots of green space.

3 College Freshman

Facilities: I feel like it is a pretty basic campus. They have an honors college for those who want to graduate with two degrees and Greek life along with many different clubs for all majors.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: There are so many clubs and activities going on I feel overwhelmed at times. I get really upset when I can't attend certain events because of classes.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: I live in a building that's been remolded so it looks better than all of the other buildings.

Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

UW-Stout is no architectural gem, but the facilities are more than adequate. The Memorial Student Center and the Health and Fitness Center offer plenty of services and opportunities for students to study, hang out, stay fit, and have fun. The Memorial Student Center offers plenty of eating outlets, free meeting rooms for student organizations to use, and even a bowling alley! The Health and Fitness Center offers a relatively new weight and cardio facility, two rock-climbing walls, an indoor swimming pool, and plenty of indoor and outdoor space for informal recreation.

In between classes, there are plenty of places to chill. Residence hall lounges and the Memorial Student Center offer places to watch TV, chat with friends, or take a nap. In the spring and fall, many students find themselves outside chilling at the picnic tables or lounging in the grass like it's the beach. Aside from recreation facilities, the academic facilities are top-notch. Classrooms are high-tech, and the number of laboratories is off the charts. Everything is close together on campus, which makes finding buildings and classes easy.
