Health & Safety: It's gets scary at night but they have the emergency poles where you push to have a police officer escort you to wherever you need to go.

4 College Sophomore

Computers: We have a lot of computer labs but sometimes you are fighting over the printer (free printing services).

College Sophomore

Nightlife: I'm underage and do not drink.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: WINTER IS TERRIBLE, but floating in the summer makes it sooooo worth it!

Overall Experience: I love it here. People do complain about the hill but it really isnt as bad as everyone puts it out to be. It's nice to have a split between your school life and home life rather than having the buildings right down the street from eachother. Also, what other campus in the area has a river flowing right through it. It's great here!

4 College Freshman

Academics: The academics offered here cover a wide variety of areas. If you are interested in Nursing, Geology, Fine-Arts, or Teaching, then COME HERE.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Not being greek, I am indifferent about their organizations. There are many options to join a Greek chapter if you are interested though.

The University of Eau Claire is absolutely amazing. Most of the professors here are very friendly and willing to assist you in your learning endeavors. Since the campus has such a small student population, you feel as if you get to know everybody around you. You make relationships with your professors, and they know you by your name. Also, do not be afraid to ask your professors questions. It makes the learning process that much easier.

Eau Claire is different from many colleges because it feels like a small town inside of a big city. This University is unique because people here care for one another. If you ever have a problem, all you need to do is ask someone around you, and they will more than likely be willing to help out. The campus is very welcoming and involved with the surrounding community. You will never feel left out if you join a couple of organizations and make friends your freshman year.

The University is beautiful, especially during the fall, so don’t forget that you can study outside on the campus mall. Students here just don’t focus on academics; they focus on having fun as well. During the school day, you will see students studying and playing Frisbee on the campus lawn. We are a very friendly campus here, and we enjoy meeting new people.
