4 College Junior

Health & Safety: I feel extremely safe on campus. There are always campus security guards driving around campus.

4 College Junior

Facilities: The campus always has events and activities going on for the students. We get emails reminding us about the events and encouraging us to attend.

4 College Junior

Facilities: They have are very elite academically. They have a lot of strong academic programs.

4 College Junior

Diversity: The campus is very diverse and everyone is accepting of diversity.

4 College Senior

Majors: I'm pretty sure this question was asked earlier... I like my program, but it's underfunded.

College Senior

Majors: They're not available for music. I've been able to teach around the area, though.

4 College Senior

Campus Housing: If you an get into Mayo, Lorton, or Brown apartments, you will be completely set. They're nice, usually kept clean for the new residents, and only a little expensive. The dorms are less than stellar, but not terrible.

5 College Senior

Scholarships: I'm currently on an academic full-ride and scholarships are abundantly available. The tuition is expensive, but TU does a lot of work making it more accessible.

3 College Senior

Greek Life: There's always a party happening on frat row, and they always get special treatment or (at worst) a small slap on the wrist for underage drinking or noise violations.

3 College Senior

Athletics: The majority of TU's fan base is about 60 years old... Even when the teams do well, many students don't come out to support unless there's something in it for them.

5 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: Tulsa has a thriving cultural identity. There's always music to be found somewhere, the food is great, there are festivals and other events regularly happening, and everyone is very TU-friendly.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: The school is in a slightly rough part of town if you go a few blocks north, but everything else near the school is decently priced (especially if you share with a housemate or two).

4 College Senior

Guys & Girls: The girls (and most of the guys) are really attractive here. The greek life is thriving, and students tend to be really involved socially

3 College Senior

Academics: The music program is incredibly small and lacking in support, but we get by all right. For how little we have to work with, I've learned A LOT through the program. It's a fair amount of work, but manageable.

4 College Senior

Academics: The faculty is absolutely top-notch. They know what they're talking about, but sometimes fail in the communication of concepts.

3 College Senior

Campus Strictness: The campus security is ridiculous about parking tickets, but slow to respond on more important things. The alcohol policy is rarely enforced.

4 College Senior

Weather: The weather is usually really nice! It changes frequently and is very different from year to year. We usually get a snow day, though, and it doesn't rain too often.

3 College Senior

Transportation: There is a campus bus system, but they don't cycle often and no one is really sure exactly what schedule they run on. There's virtually no transportation off-campus, so cars are pretty necessary.

4 College Senior

Computers: There are an abundance of computer labs available on campus, but they are prone to maintenance issues. The network works well, but is slightly spotty.

1 College Freshman

Transportation: Transportation off campus is terrible and inconvenient

3 College Freshman

Facilities: It is outdated but they are working to improve it

3 College Freshman

Transportation: The free shuttle service is unreliable, though I've been told it's easy if you learn the routes. I never need a car when traveling to places on campus, but anywhere off campus I simply ask a friend to drive me. It's not that big of a problem.

Overall Experience: I love my choice because TU fits my personality. I love large cities but grew up in a small-school environment. TU will be a great fit if you're willing to accept it for what it is: a small Division I school with a lot of heart for education and a large city on its front porch.

Majors: I absolutely love my major. The Music School is passionate, dedicated, and hard-working. They demand excellence from their students. They're also on the rise here at TU, so I'm expecting great things for the future of this program.

4 College Freshman

Majors: For the TU School of Music, I had to audition for the music school separately from the university itself to see if I applied for scholarship and to see if I had the talent. I got a full-ride scholarship and was notified of my reward after I got my letter of admission to the university.
