5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: There is a Wellness Center where counseling is offered here.
Library which is open all day until 9pm it has computers/books/printers here.
Student Life, is an organization that puts together fun activities fir students.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I am actually in the General Studies program but will soon be moving to Psychology.
Many students here have told me that they love they're programs, Psychology has become a fun major because since this school is a Buddhist private it makes topics interesting.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: University of the West is a small private school that allows one to get their academic together, for instance I came into this school with a GPA of a 1.9 and ended my first semester here with a 3.5. Professors are extremely helpful and you are able to have conversations with the professor any time of the day. its a small school so its so much easier to communicate with faculty

5 College Sophomore

Career Services: Most Graduates are allowed to work at University of the West. of course they must go through the same hiring process as everyone else but you have a higher chance of getting a job here at Uwest than anyone else.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: This is independent "ground-breaking" research in the Social / Behavioral Sciences, the first of its kind - to address gaps in the body of knowledge, and the geographic region.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: The school is modeled in some ways off the British system . And degrees at the doctoral level can be earned as RESEARCH ONLY, where minimal, to no class work, or a Master's degree, for that matter, may not be requirements, to matriculate to doctoral status, but rather the "quality" of that undergraduate degree. Places the onus of scholarship on the student, in collaboration with that advisor and subsequently the Doctoral Committee. Thus, scholarship is rigorous, bypasses quite efficiently coursework, comprehensive exams, and focuses directly on the research / dissertation....does not in any manner compromise the scholarship.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: Please see previous - I am current registered at an "off-shore" university that that does not require my presence for classes. I also do not utilize the school's resources being domiciled in the U.S. However, it is my alma mater, and it has served me well previously.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: YOUR system would NOT ALLOW for the school's name, which is the UNIVERSITY OF THE WEST INDIES, MONA CAMPUS, in KINGSTON, JAMAICA, WEST INDIES - kept kicking the data out! Because I DO NOT actively utilize the resources of the campus, it is hard to assess or make a very objective comment on this. Yet the university sends me e-mails regarding pertinent seminars that could be of interest /relevant to doctoral retention / completion with regards to research methodology, writing strategies, etc., that were I in residence I could find attendance useful.

5 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: This is a research ONLY degree program...but because of my academic

background, the minimum class participation required of doctoral candidates has been waived, in my case.

4 Recent Alumnus

Academic Flexibility: I chose this school because it accredited and quite flexible for me as I try to work and study. It is also a widely recognized school and that can be helpfully in finding a job as well/

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: it is not so much as some courses are not exposed to students the way they should be
