No one student is exactly the same at the University of the Ozarks. Everyone is pretty much “themselves." There aren't any exclusive cliques like in high school, but all students have their own group of friends they hang out with. Different groups of friends interact with one another without conflict. At times, the Central American students seem to keep to themselves, but they generally socialize all over campus and within organizations.
The female population on campus is significantly higher than the male population. The increase in female students on campus does not really affect dating, but lesbians are more dominant than gays within the homosexual community. Overall, the University of the Ozarks is tolerant of homosexual, bisexual, and transsexual students. There is promiscuity from all areas of the school, but it is not rampant or out of control. Resident advisers in every dorm/apartment try to keep the intimate contact between students to a minimum, but people will do what they want to.
